Who would’ve guessed that the boxer who shook up the Olympics would shine at Paris Fashion Week? Imane Khelif, the Algerian fighter once caught in a gender controversy, swapped her boxing gloves for a fashion show and got all the attention.

The 26-year-old athlete, who won gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics despite all the controversy, looked like quite familiar with the red carpet. She attended the Chanel Women’s Wear Spring/Summer 2026 show on Monday, wearing a custom silk suit worth over £4,000. Stepping out of a sleek black car, Khelif smiled confidently as plenty of cameras were around her.
It was Imane Khelif’s first time at Paris Fashion Week, and she definitely made an impression. Fans who remembered her surprising feminine makeover quickly took to social media to praise her elegant new look.

The Algerian champion is fighting a legal battle with the Court of Arbitration for Sport after World Boxing made genetic testing mandatory for female fighters. She hasn’t stepped into the ring since those rules took effect, but insists her career is far from over.
“I have never announced my retirement from boxing,” Khelif recently wrote on Facebook, slamming her former representative for spreading false rumors. “I remain committed to my sporting career, I train regularly and maintain my physical condition between Algeria and Qatar.”
