If everything had worked out, Cameron Brink would be playing a major role for the Lunar Owls in Unrivaled this year.
Brink was named to the Owls’ roster before the 3-on-3 league’s inaugural season. Unfortunately, she’s still recovering from the torn ACL that prematurely ended her promising rookie campaign with the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks. The rehab has prevented Brink from taking the court for the top team in Unrivaled.
“I was doing some media for press when I was in Miami for Unrivaled and three different reporters asked me if I was playing,” Brink said on her podcast, Straight to Cam with Sydel Curry-Lee back in January. “And honestly, looking back on it, I’m very sensitive. This has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through, and so just being prompted like that especially when I don’t feel like it’s on my own terms to talk about, I just get very emotional about it.
“The reporter asked me, ‘So what specifically are you able to do? And like, why are you here, basically?’ And I just sat there and I kind of lost it.”

As frustrating as it has to have been for Brink to watch from afar, she was back in Miami Tuesday night supporting her Lunar Owls teammates from the sideline.
The 6-foot-4 post player, who also has a successful modeling career, left fans stunned in her pencil skirt and high heels courtside.
“HypeCam! Brought BIG HOOTY ENERGY💜🦉 @cameronbrink22,” the Lunar Owls account wrote, including photos of Brink.
“HOOTIE MF HOOOO,” Brink wrote in the comments.
“Love her energy and those heels. 👠 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” a second person said.
“My lawd 😫😍,” a third person added.
“Being the top team without arguably the top interior defender and playing with 5 all season is an absolute flex,” a fan added.
With Brink in attendance, the Owls beat Phantom 92-79 to move to 11-1 on the regular season with two games remaining.
