Coronation Street newcomer Mick is already causing chaos and now fans are convinced he’s hiding something sinister, amid his mystery link to Kit Green being shared

There could be trouble ahead on Coronation Street, with fans thinking they have newcomer Mick sussed.

He’s been causing a bit of trouble sine his recent arrival with partner Lou, amid his link to Chesney Brown and his recent drama. But after soap boss Kate Brooks revealed the newcomer had a mystery link to dodgy detective Kit Green, fans think they’ve worked out what Mick could be hiding.

Mick’s recent antics have left many fans sure he is up to no good and that there could be more to the character. Some are sure he might be dodgy, and now a new theory could suggest he’s tied into a dark storyline.

Corrie boss Kate had told The Mirror back in December that Mick and Lou had a connection to Kit, but this has still not been addressed onscreen. A new theory is that Mick is dodgy like Kit, and perhaps they are both linked to criminals or at least dodgy policing.

In another theory fans wondered if it was a coincidence that Mick looked like late character Paul Foreman, Kit’s brother. This led to some fans guessing he might actually be Kit’s secret brother, and this is the link that will be revealed soon.

Taking to social media, one theory from a Corrie fan read: “I feel like there’s more to them, didn’t Kate Brooks say something like they’ll ‘open the floodgates’ with Kit?? And also that they’d bring chaos which they haven’t done too much of yet? I don’t get good vibes about Mick.”

Another fan agreed: “They might go down the route of Mick and Kit knowing each other through Kit’s corrupt cop style, which is another storyline that is booooring and already ongoing with Kit’s involvement with Harvey’s gang. Or he could be yet another one of their siblings since people think he looks like Paul lol.”

It comes weeks after Kate told The Mirror about Mick and Lou, mentioning Kit’s involvement with the pair. Kate spilled: “We’ve got some great characters coming in.

“They are Mick and Lou. They are live wires, they are ruffians, they are going to cause a lot of damage and a lot of chaos. There is a link to Chesney initially, but they are coming to stir up a lot of trouble, and open up the floodgates and unpack the past of one of our big characters, which is Kit.”

She added: “They are shaking things up. They’re neighbours from hell. They’re overfamiliar, likeable and they’ve got kids. I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of them, especially Mick! They are coming to cause some chaos on the street, and they will leave a trail of devastation. Really chaotic but really enjoyable.”
