Patrick Mahomes flopping (Photo via ESPN)
Football fans are teeing off on Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes for an awful flop in the third quarter of Saturday’s Divisional Round game vs. the Houston Texans.
Patrick Mahomes drew highly debatable “Roughing the Passer” penalties in the first and third quarters against Will Anderson Jr. and Henry To’oTo’o, respectively. The latter’s infraction led to Mahomes throwing a pivotal touchdown pass to Travis Kelce that helped KC extend their lead to eight.
Perhaps knowing that the refs are flag-happy today, Mahomes tried drawing another penalty by selling a soft push from To’oTo’o and Kamari Lassiter on the same drive that led to Kelce’s TD:
Needless to say, fans wasted no time teeing off on Patrick Mahomes for going great lengths to try and draw another awful flag:

“Mahomes attempting to single-handedly bring the flop into the league…thanks dork,” wrote another.
“Pathetic, this what NFL has allowed to happen,” a fan said.
“That flop makes Mahomes so f*cking unlikeable…….,” one fan wrote.
“Mahomes flop should be 15 yards,” another stated.
“That flop attempt by Mahomes was absolutely shameful. But when you are spoiled rotten by the refs and the NFL, that’s what you do I guess,” quipped a fan.
“Mahomes should be penalized for that flop. This fourth quarter has been a complete farce,” one fan wrote.
Patrick Mahomes & Chiefs Definitely Benefited From Officiating Miscues Today
Aside from those two head-scratching “Roughing the Passer” calls, the NFL officials also missed an obvious illegal hip-drop tackle on Bryan Cook against Dalton Schultz in the first quarter.
No matter which side you’re on, there’s no denying the Chiefs benefited from some very porous officiating.
