With John and Aaron set to tie the knot in Emmerdale next month, there’s no doubting there’ll be plenty of drama on the cards.

The pair are rushing into their nuptials, having only gotten engaged last month. After Liam stood up for Ella, he and Chas agreed to postpone their wedding — with Aaron and John now taking over the original date.

They first met back in August 2024, but less than a year later, John and Aaron look set to walk down the aisle.

Of course, in Soapland no wedding ever does run smooth, so what are the chances of the pair making it down the aisle without a few bumps?

Especially with John keeping secrets, and Victoria finally starting to learn the truth about his past, it seems unlikely that all will go to plan. Fans have taken to social media with their theories…

Aidan will wake up and expose John

As fans are aware, Aidan Moore is not as d3ad as John has had everyone believe. Victoria finally learns the truth tonight (Tuesday, April 22) — and fans think his coma might not be as permanent as John seems to think.

One fan said: “Aidan is definitely gatecrashing John and Aaron’s wedding.”

Another added: “The only reason anyone is in a coma in a soap is so they can wake up at just the right time.”

A third said: “I’m assuming Aiden will wake up and come into the village.”

Might he wake up ahead of the wedding and (much to John’s surprise) expose him in front of the village? Could Aidan stop the wedding from going ahead?

John will k!ll Aidan

It was finally revealed earlier this month that John was responsible for Nate Robinson’s d3ath.

Though k!lling Nate appeared to be an accident, some fans now think John will end up k!lling again to ensure his wedding goes ahead.

One fan suggested: “I bet Aidan is going to wake up just before the wedding. Will John k!ll again?”

“[Aidan] will wake up, and as it looks like some big revelation comes out, John will k!ll him” said a second.

A third echoed: “John is going to do a Reiss from [EastEnders] and smother [Aidan].”

If he learns Aidan is awake ahead of the wedding, could he k!ll him to ensure Aaron never finds out the truth?

Robert return

Fans of Aaron and Robert (otherwise known as Robron) have been hoping for a Robert return for some time.

Especially knowing John isn’t who he says he is, eager fans are still holding out hope for a Robron reunion — and perhaps that could come on the wedding day?

A fan of the pair took to social media, saying: “I want Robert to turn up at the wedding of Aaron and John,” with another adding: “We have to have Robert come back and stop the wedding!!!”

A third agreed: “I hope Robert turns up and objects.”

Given that Robert is John’s half-brother, might someone inform him in time to stop the wedding?

Nate’s body to be found on the wedding day of John and Aaron in Emmerdale

Another theory suggests that Nate’s body is finally going to be discovered — on the day of the wedding.

During the limo crash, it seemed like the village was finally going to find out Nate’s fate. However, Amy died before she was able to tell anyone about his body.

Knowing that John is Nate’s k!ller, one fan suggested: “It will be the wedding day that Nate’s body resurfaces.”

Others were quick to agree, with one fan adding: “[Nate’s body] won’t be found up until Aaron and John’s wedding,” and a third saying “Nate’s body is going to come up to the surface on the wedding day.”

Could it be that someone finally learns the truth, and Aaron finds out who he’s really marrying?

Whatever happens, there’s bound to be a major twist, with Danny Miller teasing “some really big moments in there that will blow the audience’s minds.”
