HEARTBREAKING NEWS: Presenter Cat Deeley makes HEARTBREAKING ANNOUNCEMENT about her husband Patrick Kielty
TV presenters Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have split after more than a decade of marriage they announced in a statement that is sure to leave their fans stunned. The once golden couple wed in September 2012 at a ceremony in Rome and have two children together.
They said in a joint statement to the PA news agency: “We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved. We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.”
Back in March it was reported that Cat, 48, was absent from her mother-in-law’s funeral leaving Patrick to carry his mother’s coffin alone at the ceremony held in County Down, Ireland. Patrick, 54, appeared solemn at the time as he carried his mother Mary’s coffin through his home village, joined by family and friends.
At the time, it was reported that Cat had missed the funeral to support her two young children, who were grieving the loss of their grandmother. The presenter said she had wanted to be there for her sons Milo, eight, and James, five, before and after they finished school. Her representative confirmed to MailOnline at the time: “Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day.”

However, it appears that Cat is ready to move on, as her Instagram features barely any traces of her famous ex, with the last photo of the couple on her primary grid being from 2023, and her biography now reads, “Proud mama, presenter, author, sister, daughter and godmum.”
The couple who met when they appeared as co-presenters on the show Fame Academy in 2002 were last seen in public together back in April of this year, when they enjoyed a spring holiday in the sun with their children.
After being friends for years, their friendship turned to romance thanks to a very sweet gesture from Patrick.
