TV stars Jane and Simon Minty, who are fan-favourites on Gogglebox, have given Channel 4 viewers an insight into what they’ve been up to recently.

Jane, who appears on the programme next to her brother Simon, revealed she had a huge blunder this week while at work.

This comes after one Gogglebox star recently left fans speechless with a throwback image of themselves.

Sharing a video on Instagram, Simon asked his sister what had been happening this week, and she explained her huge error.

Jane replied: “Made a bit of a boo boo. Mistook twenty egg whites, instead of twenty grams of egg whites. I was preparing a demonstration tray.”

Confused, Simon questioned whether or not that meant she had too many or too few, as she confessed it was ‘far too many’.

She added: “But, they will be used. Not wasted.” He jokingly replied: “See it’s a bit over my head, it’s all a bit in the biz, the chefing business. It’s obviously a yoke for chefs that one.”

Jane chuckled at his pun before Simon told viewers they’ll be back on screens later that evening for a new episode of Gogglebox.

 

People were quick to comment on the video, as one person said: “Good to hear Simon still crackin’ ’em (yolk/joke).” Someone else wrote: “Can’t ‘beat’ that joke, Simon.”

Another fan shared: “Two great people see you on the box at nine.” While another wrote: “Ha easy mistake to make Jane.”

The two siblings have been part of the Channel 4 show since 2021 and quickly became fan-favourites.

Although they’re staples on the TV show, Jane keeps busy when the cameras aren’t rolling as the reality star is a chef in a commercial kitchen.

In the past, she’s shared images of her work life on their shared Instagram account.

Once she compared her career to her brothers in a message, posting: “My job versus Simon’s! He wears shiny shoes, smart suits and looks fab.

“Today I got tangled up in a fight with a hand whisk and a cheese sauce!!! Hair wash tonight!!!”
