Last week, Shilo Sanders was ejected after throwing a punch at Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson. The following day, the Buccaneers announced that he was waived ahead of final roster cuts.

To add insult to injury, the NFL announced that Sanders was fined $4,669 for the punch on Davidson, according to Ian Casselberry of Yahoo Sports.

Well, Shilo still got a pretty penny from his brief tenure with the Buccaneers. Maybe younger brother Shedeur Sanders or father Deion Sanders will offer to pick up the fine.

Sanders signed with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent, so expectations weren’t high for him to begin with. Then again, other undrafted players like Kurt Warner and Tony Romo carved out special careers after being passed on numerous times by every NFL club.

So it’s premature to say Sanders’ career is over. It just takes the one opportunity and the right fit for him to hit his ceiling.
