SH0CK REVELATION: Emmerdale’s Lawrence Robb HINTS at Mack’s future with scathing FIVE-WORD comment on Lorraine

ITV Emmerdale fans were left in shock on Friday night when it was revealed that Mackenzie Boyd was alive after it was believed he had been k!lled by John Sugden.

Now, he’s spoken out what could lie ahead for his character in an interview with Lorraine – after saying Mack “isn’t quite d3ad (yet)”.

On Friday, we saw John dig up some leaves – where viewers believed Mack was buried. However, a secret door was then revealed, and when John walked down the stairs, Mack was seen lying down, wincing in pain – and most importantly, alive.

 

First look images and trailers have shown the character confronting John as he reveals he remembers everything that happened. However, John’s got him handcuffed and attached to a drip – but will he escape? Viewers will have to wait to find out, but Mack actor Lawrence Robb has spoken out about the explosive storyline…

Speaking to Lorraine, who returned to her show after her summer break, Lawrence revealed how he felt when he read the script which said his character had ‘d!ed’.

“Initially I read it and thought, ‘Oh, they’ve just not told me that I’m dying,’ but there’s more to come,” Lawrence said – as Lorraine confirmed “he’s not done yet!”

The explosive storyline comes five years after Robb’s arrival in the soap, as he told Lorraine that he started playing the character five years ago today.

“He’s not out the woods yet is he?” Lorraine questioned, as Lawrence responded: “No. There’s a lot of drama still to come. He’s definitely not out of the woods. I’m looking forward to how it plays out. Shooting it with Ollie (Oliver Farnworth) was great – but it was a long time to be in that bunker.”

It’s not the only thing the star may have ‘let slip’. Earlier today, the soap released a first look picture of Mack’s aftermath, with Lawrence dropping some ‘telling quotes’ – teasing that Mack isn’t quite d3ad “yet”.

“I’m glad the secret that Mack isn’t quite d3ad (yet) is over. I have felt slightly deceitful over the last two weeks when people have asked me about his d3ath,” he said.

Upon the reveal, many fans believed he wouldn’t survive long, as one wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “What if Mack is alive today but will d!e later on screen?” with another responding: “Give it time.”

A third comment read: “that was the first thing that came to my mind when i saw mack alive,” while another user agreed: “There’s still hope that Mackenzie will still be d3ad after all this.”

Continuing, Lawrence said: “Whilst I have enjoyed being somewhat of an enigma over that time, I’m really looking forward to seeing how the drama we shot is received on screen.”

“Both Ollie and I really enjoyed shooting it, so hopefully the jeopardy of Mack’s position will keep the audience gripped!”
