Acandid video of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry dancing in the hospital before Princess Lilibet’s birth has sparked a wave of backlash, with royal fans and commentators now calling for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to be stripped of their royal titles.
In the now-viral Instagram clip, a heavily pregnant Meghan dances to the viral TikTok song The Baby Momma Dance in a hospital room.

Donning a black maternity dress, the duchess cradles her bump, lifts her skirt above her knees, and dances with her hands on her hips.
The video was intended to be a celebration of the day Princess Lilibet was born. However, it left royal traditionalists fuming.

Nile Gardiner, a former aide to Margaret Thatcher, wrote on X: “Meghan and Harry’s royal titles should be removed as soon as possible.”
Many royal fans agreed, flooding the comments with demands for the couple’s titles to be revoked.
“Removal is necessary,” one wrote.
Another agreed: “It needs to be done asap, because they continue to debase the monarchy.”
Another post read: “Absolutely. Both have proven to be tasteless, classless and vulgar.”
Meghan and Harry’s Royal titles should be removed as soon as possible.
However, not everyone agreed. Some came to the Sussexes’ defence, accusing critics of overreacting.
“Why??? Dancing is great in childbirth!! I did it to help with the pain,” one fan commented.
“I don’t get the rage over a young couple having fun in the delivery room. They’re not hurting or insulting anyone, are they?” Another questioned.
Still, the outrage wasn’t limited to fans. Royal biographer Angela Levin also weighed in. “I’m appalled, too. Just awful,” she tweeted.
The clip was one of three posts Meghan shared to mark her daughter’s birthday, including never-before-seen photos of the little girl.

The backlash has reignited a long-running debate over Harry and Meghan’s continued use of their royal titles despite stepping down from official royal duties in 2020.
Just last month, Meghan appeared on entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima’s podcast.
A gift basket the duchess had previously sent Jamie was shown on camera, featuring a card that read: “With the Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”
The moment sparked immediate backlash from royal watchers. They accused Meghan of violating the terms of the couple’s 2020 exit agreement.

Under the arrangement made during the “Sandringham Summit,” Harry and Meghan were allowed to retain their His and Her Royal Highness (HRH) titles, but explicitly agreed not to use them publicly.
Buckingham Palace made this clear in a statement at the time. “The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the royal family,” they announced.
A source close to the couple later clarified the card had been sent as a personal gesture, not a commercial one. However, critics argued it still disrespected the boundary that was set by the monarchy.
