TODAY Show fans have declared the ‘New Hoda Kotb’ has been found as celebs continue to step in for her.

Hoda stepped down from the daytime show in January, bidding an emotional goodbye with a week of celebrations and farewells.

Since then, Jenna Bush Hagar has been joined by a string of celebrity guests as temporary hosts, with the series being retitled to ‘Today with Jenna & Friends’.

So far, Taraji P Henson, Keke Palmer, Eva Longoris and Scarlett Johannson have been among the new co-hosts, but fans have declared a Saturday Night Live star a ‘natural’ to take her place.

Ego Nwodim took over the hot seat on Monday, and by Tuesday fans were declaring her their new favorite to be a permanent replacement.

As a surprise for her first day, Ego got emotional as she was surprised by her mother as a guest on the show.

Speaking in a video before she came out on stage, Okey Mwodim said of her daughter: “Being Ego’s mom has been exciting to say the least because Ego is very adventurous and she’s very lively.

“She keeps you talking, because she never stops talking.”

“I’ll tell Ego, ‘Stop dancing.’ And she goes, ‘Mom, the music is going on.’ I say, ‘Yes, the music is going on. That doesn’t mean you should be dancing,’” she joked in another anecdote.

Jenna then brought Okey – looking glam in a silver dress – out on stage, prompting Ego to give her mom a hug.

Praising her mom, Ego said: “She just was an impeccable leader and example for us.

“She went to med school after having the four of us. So she’s a family practitioner and she’s just… what she’s taught us is the power of persistence and ambition and has just made us all feel like we could do whatever we wanted.

“So I decided to be an actor.”

Fans’ hearts melted at the energetic star and her chemistry on camera with Jenna, saying she could be the perfect fit.

Speaking on Instagram, viewers flocked to the Jenna and Friends comment section to request Ego become a permanent star.

“Love ❤️ love ❤️ loved @eggyboom on show today. We need MORE of her with you Jenna!” wrote one, while another wrote they “Have the whole week set on my DVR!”

“Love you both together, really enjoyed the show,” said a third.

“You two together are the best!! please hire her permanently,” noted a fourth.

Currently, there is no confirmed replacement for Hoda, with other guests stepping in over the upcoming weeks.

Ego will remain with the show throughout this week.
