That claim immediately fuelled speculation that the Duchess’ plans to return to scripted television had suffered a major setback.
However, the latest reports appear to paint a rather different picture.
Instead of the door being completely closed, Meghan could still be involved in discussions over a possible appearance in the Netflix series.
The uncertainty is particularly intriguing because Meghan has already established a relationship with Netflix through her production company with Prince Harry.
The couple’s projects for the streaming giant have previously generated significant attention, ensuring that any new appearance by Meghan would almost certainly attract intense global scrutiny.
