Strictly’s Amber Davies makes ‘can’t believe’ admission as Nikita Kuzmin moment leaves her ‘crying’

Amber Davies has admitted she ‘can’t believe’ her current place in Strictly Come Dancing after a moment between her and Nikita Kuzmin left her ‘crying’.

The actress and West End star had a whirlwind of a start to her time on the show, having originally not been signed up to take part in the BBC One dance show this year.

Amber was drafted in at the eleventh hour to replace an injured Dani Dyer, after the former Love Island winner fractured her ankle during training for her first live performance.

It was just 24 hours before the first live show aired, following the pre-recorded launch programme in September, that Amber was confirmed to be replacing Dani, joining professional dancer Nikita.

They were most recently seen taking part in the programme’s annual Halloween special, having been saved by the judges after landing in last weekend’s dreaded dance-off.

Amber and Nikita were left until last to perform following a spooktacular night on the Strictly dance floor. They performed a Viennese waltz to I See Red by Everybody Loves An Outlaw and were awarded 35 points from the judges, which put them joint third on the leaderboard.

During Sunday’s (November 2) results show, Amber and Nikita were seen making it safely through to another week, with the next live show marking the mid-way point of Strictly’s 2025 series.

Days on from the confirmation that their Strictly journey will continue, having headed back into training, Amber has reflected on reaching the mid-way point of the competition.

Still can’t believe WE have made it half way through the @bbcstrictly competition really.. 6 weeks ago I had no idea how the end of year was going to look for me & with just 1 phone call and 48 hours later I was waltzing on live tv with @nikita__kuzmin .

“That’s definitely one of those stories I’ll be bringing up around a dinner table in 40 years time [crying laughing emoji].”She added: “Working hard on the salsa routine for the weekend of course Nikita hasn’t held back & again if you have sent a vote our way and supported our lil team thank you so much.”

Amber and Nikita also shared an emotional moment

Meanwhile, Amber was also seen admitting to being emotional as she reshared a clip from Tuesday’s (November 4) edition of Strictly spin-off, It Takes Two, in which the nine remaining couples opened up about their partnerships.

Nikita was heard saying: “Amber really cares deeply about everyone around her. She’s a perfect student, and amazing friend and an amazing partner.”

Amber then shared: “I don’t think anybody has believed in me more than Nikita. He is so confident that I can be the best version of myself every single week. I love him, I wouldn’t change him for the world.”

Resharing a clip of their part of the segment, Amber wrote on her Instagram Story: “[face holding back tears emojis] obviously I’m crying.”
