Tommy Fury asked to star in Love Island All Stars – and reply speaks volumes about Molly Mae

Love Island’s executive producer has revealed Tommy Fury was approached for the All Stars 2 series – which kicks off next week.

The boxer found himself suddenly single after Molly-Mae Hague called time on their five romance in a post, breaking the shock news to fans in August last year in a post she ‘never thought she’d write.’

In a shock twist, months after their separation the reality TV and social media stars were caught in an embrace as they rekindled their romance on New Year’s Eve. The Mirror can now reveal, in the wake of his split with Molly, Tommy was approached by ITV bosses hoping to have him join the list of iconic former islanders looking for love again in the All Stars villa.

Asked about having one of the dating show’s most famous islanders back in the villa, executive producer Mike Spence confirmed Tommy had been asked to join the line-up. He added: “I don’t know if we approached Molly but we do ask everyone who is single. We make the call, invite them to audition and then pick.”

Tommy, who was also rumoured to star in the last series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Met Out of Here!, flatly turned down the offer to re-enter the villa. Last week, pictures circulating of him kissing Molly Mae, with whom he shares daughter Bambi, appeared to confirm their reunion.

However, producer Spence joked he’s not opposed to having the on-off pair back on the same series together: “If Molly and Tommy would like to come back here together we’d love them.” The last series of the spin-off show launched with exes Molly and Callum entering the villa as singletons, before Molly went on to win the show with Tom Clare.

“What if Molly and Tommy turned up on night one!” laughed Spence. “That would be interesting. We’ll get Bambi here too. We can build a creche,” he added.

Molly is set to open up about what really went on between her and Tommy during her new series Molly Mae: Behind It All. The documentary was planned as a tell-all on her break-up with Tommy but sources now say the series will now show them getting back together. Both will appear on the show which drops on Prime Video next week.

In a trailer Molly says: “All I ever wanted was to get married. Suddenly, overnight, every part of my life changed. The last couple of months has been like the worst couple of months of my life. I am angry with him. I am very hurt. Sometimes it just really hits you that I’m in this alone now.”

After his split with Molly, it was rumoured that Tommy had cheated on his fiancee with other women. Tommy called the speculation ‘heartbreaking.’ He said at the time: “The false allegations about me have been horrendous, thank you to everybody who has stood by me through this.”
