Billionaire star Kim Kardashian said divorce was a heartbreaking event and if her husband had not changed, she would not have let go.
According to People, Kim Kardashian shared about her marriage to Kanye West in the February 13 episode of the reality TV show The Kardashian. When her sister Khloe Kardashian confided that if her ex-husband, basketball player Lamar Odom, had not been addicted to drugs, their marriage might still be strong, Kim immediately agreed.
“That was the hardest thing. I went through that too,” Kim told her sister, referring to her divorce from Kanye West. “We don’t expect something to happen that completely changes a person’s personality and they are no longer the same person. We can’t bring them back to who they were, but we can’t live with who they are. I understand that.”

In a private conversation with the audience, Kim confided: “It’s hard when you don’t want your marriage to end but circumstances change. You don’t see it coming and you never expect it to end like this but you have no choice.”
The American reality TV star and Kanye West married in 2014, split in 2021, and have four children together. Their seven-year marriage fell apart after a series of events when Kanye struggled with bipolar disorder, frequently made negative statements on social media and distanced himself from his family.
In court documents during the divorce process, Kim revealed the conflict between her and Kanye: “Kanye has posted a lot of false information about private family and parenting issues on social media, which has caused mental stress.” She also explained: “While I wish our marriage could be saved, I realize that there is no way to save it. Kanye does not agree, but at least he seems to realize that I want to end this marriage, even if he does not want to.”
The couple finalized their divorce in November 2022. A month later, Kanye married architect Bianca Censori. Meanwhile, Kim dated comedian Pete Davidson for about nine months and was rumored to be romantically involved with soccer player Odell Beckham Jr. The 44-year-old billionaire recently revealed that he is in love with someone new but did not reveal his boyfriend’s identity.
