Amanda Holden reveals brand new ‘big, fat’ destination for Alan Carr BBC series
They’ve done Italy twice and Spain once, now Alan and Amanda will travel to their furthest place yet for the fourth version of their hit makeover show
They’ve renovated homes in Sicily, Tuscany and Andalusia – now Amanda Holden and Alan Carr are to create a “big fat Greek” version of their hit BBC1 series. After the success of Amanda and Alan’s Spanish Job earlier this year, the intrepid pair of celebrity pals will be heading to the sunny island of Corfu for their fourth challenge.
Armed once more with some power tools and a lump hammer, the duo will dust off their boiler suits for Amanda and Alan’s Greek Job, in which they will again embrace a new culture and throw themselves into local life – very likely to involve some ouzo and a spot of plate smashing.
Unveiling where they are going, Amanda told Alan: “You are going to die of joy – we’re going to have such a great summer!” In a quiz to help him guess their destination, she asked him to name a Greek dip, to spell the word Greece and to list the colours of the Greek flag…

Amanda told The Mirror: “I couldn’t be happier to announce that Alan and I are going to be doing a fourth series of Amanda and Alan. If I said our big fat Greek renovation, I’m sure that will give you a clue! We’re so excited to be spending another summer together bashing down walls in one of our favourite places ever. Over 18 million of you tuned in – so thank you so much for all the love and support.”

Alan said that he and Amanda had already holidayed in Corfu together once before. “Greece is always my ‘Go To’ place for holiday fun, so it will be strange for me to be packing a hard hat, drill and paint roller in my suitcase instead of my usual suntan lotion and budgie smugglers,” he laughed.
“After the success of Sicily, Tuscany and Andalusia I think Greece is the perfect next step for some Alamanda magic, with its rich history and culture and let’s not forget the delicious food and drink. It feels like its already gearing up to be an unforgettable summer”.

BBC factual entertainment commissioning boss Catherine Catton said she was delighted to be ordering a fourth run of their hit show in which they will again bring “their signature style of fun, sun and friendship to audiences right across the UK”. She added: “With a new location, a completely new property to transform and some of the world’s most beautiful scenery on their doorstep, we can’t wait to see what magic they create together.”
In the recent series, viewers saw the pair transform a rundown Spanish townhouse located in Moclin in the province of Granada. Once they had completed the Moorish-themed interior, the house went onto the market for £206,000. The proceeds from the sale will again be split between Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need.
Their latest eight part series will film this summer in Corfu and hit the screen early next year.
