Strictly fans fume as Ellie Goldstein and La Voix avoid bottom two: ‘Sort it out next week, public’

Strictly fans were left seriously unhappy as La Voix and Ellie Goldstein avoided the dance-off during last night’s show (Sunday, October 26).
Amber Davies and Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink were forced to fight for their places in the competition last night, and viewers were furious.

What happened on Strictly last night?
Despite being joint second and joint fourth on the leaderboard, Amber and Jimmy ended up in the dance-off.
La Voix and Ellie Goldstein, meanwhile, were joint second from bottom with 28 points each.
The judges unanimously opted to save Amber, sending Jimmy home five weeks into the competition.
Viewers were furious, with many arguing that the “wrong two people” were in the dance-off, and that it should have been one of Ellie or La Voix (or both) in the bottom two last night.
La Voix received just 14 points last week whilst still avoiding the dance-off, and Ellie has received criticism for her performances from viewers, who argue that the judges aren’t giving her any “critical feedback”.

Strictly fans demand La Voix and Ellie Goldstein dance-off next week
Taking to social media, fans of the show expressed their desire for La Voix and/or Ellie to be in the dance-off next weekend.
“2nd and 4th on the leaderboard in the bottom two? Nah. It’s clearly because it’s a popularity contest and people have beef with Amber for being on stage, but so does Lewis, ya know. Sort it out next week, public. Let’s look more at Ellie and La Voix, please. It’s a dance comp,” one viewer tweeted.
“Gotta watch La Voix and Ellie instead of Jimmy next week,” another said, sharing a gif of a sad man walking.
“I like Jimmy, but I would rather watch Amber dance again. Not the right bottom two in my opinion. Personally would have preferred Bal, La Voix, or Ellie in the bottom as I’m not particularly excited to see them dance each week,” a third wrote.
“Amber in the Dance Off, Ellie and La Voix safe, Jimmy eliminated, God, I hate the British public,” another said.

Amber Davies ‘cried’ after rewatching Strictly dance off
Taking to her Instagram Story last night, a visibly upset Amber said: “I feel so grateful to everybody who’s messaged me. It’s a whole experience being in the dance-off. I mean, I watched the show tonight, and I felt every single emotion that I felt.
“I was crying because I just love Jimmy so much. The humanity side of it… I know how much Jimmy loves Strictly and I was thinking about his kids and his wife and I just thought, oh my gosh. I can’t believe these are the cards we’ve been dealt with,” she then continued.
“Lauren Oakley, I adore that woman so much. But it’s a show and just thank you really. Thank you for your kind and lovely messages. We go again tomorrow,” she then went on to say.
“The last thing I’m going to say is… also, don’t mind my eczema. If I get put in a stressful situation or I’m stressed, my eczema just flares up. So filming’s going to be interesting tomorrow. I just ask, please, please vote for me and Nikita next week. If you find a free vote, send it our way because we definitely need it.”
