A new 60-second test has been released to see if you’re likely to have the condition, which affects 1 in 10 women

A swift 60-second test could reveal if you’re one of the 1 in 10 women affected by a common condition. The charity behind the test, Endometriosis UK, says that once completed, you can forward the results to your GP, potentially speeding up diagnosis and providing answers.
The new feature on the symptom checker section of their website generates a letter to assist in addressing your symptoms and takes less than a minute to complete. However, you must be at least 18 years old to take it.
Endometriosis is a condition where cells similar to those lining the womb are found elsewhere in the body, causing inflammation, pain, and scar tissue. The test is designed to identify common endometriosis symptoms and support you in seeking medical advice.
Even if you don’t exhibit the symptoms mentioned during the test, you could still have endometriosis, often abbreviated as ‘endo’. The charity urges anyone noticing any change in symptoms to discuss it with their GP or healthcare provider.
They caution: “Due to data protection this symptom checker is not suitable for those under the age of 18. If you are younger than 18 the symptom checker can be completed alongside a parent or guardian,” reports Surrey Live.
People may have questions, of course. Are you wondering what might be included in the endometriosis test?

Queries involve asking if one suffers from painful periods that affect daily activities, and if there are changes in bowel habits like pain during bowel movements or urination, or blood present in stool or urine. Curious about how to perform the quick 60 second endometriosis test?
It’s accessible online but remember, individuals under 18 should have the accompaniment of a parent or guardian when taking the test.
