HEARTBREAK: BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty Shares SAD NEWS After Star Diagnosed By DOCTORS With D3ADLY Disease

Naga Munchetty announced that Bjorn Borg has had a tough year after battling prostate cancer, with the tennis star admitting he takes life “day by day, year by year”
In his new autobiography, the 69-year-old said that the disease was “at its most advanced stage” but that he would “fight every day like it’s a Wimbledon final.”
Speaking about his diagnosis on Thursday’s BBC Breakfast, Naga began, “The former professional tennis player, Bjorn Borg, has been talking to the BBC about his treatment for an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

“The five-time Wimbledon champion revealed his illness in the final chapter of his much-anticipated autobiography. He said he requires regular scans and is currently in remission, and that he plans to fight the illness like it’s a Wimbledon final.”
As they played a brief clip, Bjorn can be heard saying, “I spoke to the doctor, and he said, ‘This is really, really bad, but it’s done’. And he said, ‘But you have these sleeping cancer cells in your body.”
“It is going to be a fight in the future, and I hope I am going to be ok, I might be ok, I might not be ok.”
He continued, “So every six months I will test myself. And right now, I did my last test two weeks ago, so I’m okay. I take it day by day, year by year, hopefully. It’s the thing you have to live with.”
After the clip, Charlie Stayt chimed in, “He is an iconic figure in tennis, and we’ll hear more of that interview, where he talked about his life, his career, and now his medical condition and the various problems he’s faced through his life.
“We’ll hear more of that a little later on.”

Bjorn said he was first diagnosed in 2023, and it was an “extremely aggressive” form of cancer, and that it was “at its most advanced stage”.
However, he went on to have an operation in 2024, and Bjorn is now in remission.
