Deal or No Deal fans were ecstatic in 2023 when the beloved game show made a comeback on ITV, after vanishing from screens in 2016.

Ever since its return, viewers have watched ordinary people bag hefty cash prizes as they face off against the mysterious banker.

But it seems there’s an unprecedented win on the horizon for one lucky individual next week. Dropping hints on Tuesday’s edition of This Morning, host Stephen Mulhern shared the scoop with presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about the exciting episode.

Commenting on the show’s success, he commented: “It’s going so strong. There is a massive win (coming up). It’s the start of next week. Let me tell you, it’s Monday. Don’t miss next Monday’s show.”

He confidently claimed: “It’s the biggest win yet. When I say it’s big, it is because the jackpot has come to the table so many times, but nobody has had the guts to really go on.”

He hinted that might all change next week as he urged ITV audiences to not miss this episode. Stephen added: “I promise you, don’t miss it!”

Ben asked if the banker was content with such a large sum being won, to which Mulhern acknowledged he wasn’t, reports the Express.

He divulged: “The banker is fuming! On that day, he was raging. I think at one point, I hold the phone away and you can hear him literally going to town!”

As a gameshow connoisseur himself, Ben recognised the joy in seeing contestants win life-changing money. Stephen mirrored that sentiment, reflecting on a contestant who left a lasting impression.

He shared a touching story from the show, saying: “We had a player called Paula and she was from Liverpool. Everytime I tell this story, I get goosebumps by it.

“I always read about the contestants, sadly, her son passed away very early. Some thugs had burnt the gravestone and some other gravestones. She was offered £6,000, but she had an amazing board with loads of money on.”

“She turned to her partner and asked what he thought and he said, ‘Well you’ve got to play on’. The board was amazing.

“You know what, she delt because that’s all she wanted to do was just sort out her kid’s gravestone. It shows you, that’s what the money means, it’s not always about the big jackpot, it’s what you come for.”

In another part of the show, when quizzed about whether he knows who the banker is, Stephen admitted he’s just as clueless as the audience, though he did confirm hearing a man’s voice on the line.

He also let slip: “Apparently, he lurks around in the hotel to listen to what the contestants are talking about! He’s spying on them.”
