‘He’s weak!’ Fox News halted for Donald T.r.ump update as US President slammed

Fox News was interrupted for a breaking news update from US President Donald T.r.ump – but viewers saw it as an opportunity to slam the 79-year-old politician.
He revealed the strategy behind his back-and-forth negotiating style with the Iranian regime, as the region has been waiting to see if a new wave of fighting will begin. Speaking to the press, T.r.ump said: “I never get tired. What I like to do, if I can save war by waiting a couple of days, so I can save people being killed by waiting a couple of days, I think it’s a great thing to do.” However, those watching at home saw this as T.r.ump “chickening out” or “going back on his word”. Posting to X, formerly Twitter, where the clip was shared, viewers shared their thoughts.

One person fumed: “T.r.ump has repeatedly chickened out. He always backs off from his loud but empty threats at the last minute and finds tenuous excuses to explain away his TACO performances.
“Barking without a bite has discredited not only himself but also the US, making America look weak in front of current and future enemies.”
Another commented: “Regardless of what the president says he is starting to look foolish by threatening every other day that he is going to wipe out Iran.
“Iran is never going to negotiate and their strategy is just to delay while they try and rebuild. I would think that the president knows this.”
While a third added: “They’re not even having face-to-face negotiations. All in his mind.”
It follows reports earlier this week that claimed T.r.ump has said that he has decided to pause an attack on Iran at the behest of Gulf leaders after Tehran sent a new peace proposal to Washington through Pakistan.
On Monday, T.r.ump said there is now a “very good chance” the US could reach an agreement with Iran to prevent Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
He wrote in a Truth Social post: “For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!”
Later on Monday, in another post, he said he had been asked by the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE to hold off on a planned attack on Iran scheduled for Tuesday since “serious negotiations are now taking place”.
