THE Kansas City Chiefs have gotten a major boost to their 2025 NFL campaign.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice officially will not miss the start of the NFL season.

According to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter, Rice’s disciplinary hearing for his 2024 hit and run will be held on September 30.
This means he will be able to play in the Kansas City Chiefs’ first four games before any disciplinary action is taken.
Because of this, Rice will be able to play in multiple crucial games for the Chiefs.
In Week 1, the Chiefs face off against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil.
In Week 2, they play a Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.
In Week 3, Kansas City goes on the road to play the New York Giants.
In Week 4, the Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens.
Those are some juggernaut matchups that the Chiefs will have their top wide receiver available for.
It is a big break for the Chiefs, but fans aren’t happy about it, with many claiming the league intentionally put the hearing on September 30 to allow Kansas City to be at full strength.
“League going to do their best to cater to the Chiefs,” one fan said.

“Chargers, Eagles, Ravens. We know why the NFL did this,” another fan said.
“Why does it seem like the Chiefs always get a pass like this?” a third fan said.
“Anything to help the Chiefs,” a fourth fan said.
“Should be having hearing next week BEFORE the season starts. This is preferential treatment. Any other team/player would have discipline start Week 1,” a fifth fan said.
It has been speculated that Rice could miss half the season due to a suspension for his hit and run.

However, it appears that suspension will start midway through the season now.
Rice is focusing on getting ready for the season instead of paying attention to the disciplinary process, saying his legal team is working on it.
“Honestly, it’s still in the works,” he said at training camp.
“My legal team is handling that. All I can do is focus on what I can control right now.
“And that’s me doing what I do best right here on the field.”
