Ricky Hatton was photographed beaming with pride alongside his daughters and granddaughter weeks before his heartbreaking d3ath. The Manchester-born boxer was discovered d3ad at his residence in Gee Cross, Hyde this morning (September 14).
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that a 46-year-old man’s body was located and stated that the d3ath is not being regarded as suspicious. Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton has not only plunged the boxing community into grief, but he tragically leaves behind his three children – Campbell, 24, Millie, 13, and Fearne, 12, along with granddaughter Lyla, seven.
Ricky was 22 when he welcomed his son Campbell in 2001 with his former partner Claire. He subsequently became a father to Millie and Fearne whilst with his former fiancée Jennifer Dooley.
Ricky’s granddaughter Lyla, who is Campbell’s daughter, arrived in 2018. Just over a fortnight ago, Ricky posted a photograph with his stunning granddaughter Lyla to celebrate her 7th birthday.
Ricky sat with her perched on his lap as the duo snuggled together. The caption read: “Happy 7th birthday to my beautiful gorgeous grandaughter @lylahatton_ Love you baby girl. Grandad Richard. Xxxx.”
Last month, Ricky also posted a snap with his two daughters Millie and Fearne in Tenerife.

Ricky captioned the family photo: “Lovely meal tonight as always in @thaibotanico and up in the safari centre with my @xmilliexxhattonx and @fearne.hatton_2013.”

Ricky also leaves behind his cherished parents, with whom he had a decade-long falling out before they made peace in 2019.
The boxer had a disagreement with his mum Carol and dad Ray Hatton nine years prior over money, leading to an unpleasant altercation with his dad in a car park.
“Ultimately when I fell out with my parents, I hit rock bottom. I didn’t care whether I lived or d!ed to be honest with you,” he confessed to the Manchester Evening News.

Ricky later realised that he needed to mend the relationship before it was too late. “A few of my school friends are the same age as me, their parents were having heart attacks and I was going to their funerals”, he recalled.
“I thought to myself, ‘I’m 40 now, I’m at an age where our parents might not be here much longer.’ So if their parents are getting ill and passing away and all that, it’s not going to be long before mine go.
“I just made the effort to think, ‘Listen you know, let bygones be bygones, leave things in the past. That’s it.'”
