“I Have to Move On”: Inside Emmerdale Star Liv Dingle’s Life Now, Three Years After Her Painful Exit

Emmerdale has taken a poignant look back at the death of Liv Dingle, as Aaron Dingle commemorates three years since her tragic on-screen demise. Devoted viewers of the ITV soap will recall Liv as Aaron’s (Danny Miller) beloved younger sister, who formed a close family unit with ex-husband Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) during their marriage.

Liv, who was also married to Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), had other storylines involving alcoholism and criminal escapades. In 2022, disaster struck during the show’s 50th anniversary special when a devastating storm caused a caravan to crash onto Liv, resulting in her death. In Wednesday’s (October 15) episode, Aaron and Robert spent their first night back together, but Aaron seemed preoccupied. The pair discussed revealing their relationship to the village before Robert discovered a teddy bear in Aaron’s living room.

“It’s Liv’s, well it was”, Aaron confirmed, “She would never sleep without it.”

Aaron then revealed that Liv’s death anniversary is on Thursday, with Robert suggesting they have a drink to commemorate the sombre day.

Actress Isobel Steele portrayed the character of Liv Dingle, but said goodbye to the Dales in 2022, after a six-year run on the show.

Reflecting on her exit, she expressed her deep feelings at the time: “And that’s a wrap on Liv Dingle. Hard to put into words what this show and the people in it mean to me and how big a decision it was to leave.

“Thank you to every single person I ever worked with and to those that pushed me to be a better person and a better actor.

“Thank you to everyone who watches the show and has supported me throughout, none of it went unnoticed. Thank you to Kate Oates, Ian MacLeod and Jane Hudson.”

She concluded her heartfelt message by saying farewell to this period of her career, stating: “I love you all so much, you know who you are. The most bizarre and wonderful place to have grown up. I’m gonna miss it so much. On to the next! X.”

Now, at just 24 years old, Isobel has launched into a new adventure in the music world.

Earlier this year, she debuted a chic new look, swapping her flowing, lengthy tresses for a cropped style complete with fashionable bangs.

Her Instagram profile reveals that the Manchester native still regards herself as an actress but seems to be concentrating on developing her musical abilities in London.

As frontwoman for her band Little Dog Star, she has produced an array of enchanting tracks and their corresponding music videos, which are available for listening on Spotify.
