Out Of Nowhere Gok Wan’s Hospital Update Reveals PAINFUL Wrist Condition That Left Him In AGONY And Fans In SHOCK

This Morning star Gok Wan has shared a health update from the hospital.

Fans of the 50-year-old fashionista offered their support as the star opened up about a painful condition doctors think he has on his Instagram yesterday (May 21).

This Morning star Gok Wan shares hospital update

Yesterday saw This Morning star Gok share a snap from hospital on Instagram, as he updated fans on his painful wrist.

The TV star uploaded a selfie of himself in hospital, with his wrist resting on his shoulder. The star could be seen smiling as he waited to be seen.

“Just had an X-ray on my wrist… doc thinks I have De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis, but I had an X-ray to check nothing is wrong with my joints,” he wrote.

“Huge shout out to our incredible NHS… Thank you for looking after me and everyone else.”

De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis is a condition that affects the tendons on the thumb side of the wrist. According to the NHS, it can be caused by overuse of the wrist and hand, thumb injuries and inflammatory conditions.

The majority of symptoms associated with the condition will settle with rest. Wearing a splint can also help.

Gok’s fans and followers took to the comment section to send their star their support.

“I’m glad you’re getting the care you need. Isn’t our NHS wonderful? Every time I pay a vet’s bill I’m reminded how rare and precious our NHS is. Hope you feel better soon,” one fan commented.

“I had that it’s soooooo painful – a lovely splint for a few months helped me – sending you lots of healing,”  another said.

“Hope you get better soon Gok. I’m four months in and still suffering with it, but I’m glad to see the condition is getting some recognition,” a third wrote.

“Proper DJ injury that!” another said. “Crikey that’s a mouthful ! Look after that wrist luvvy! We need you to keep smashing out those tunes. Luv ya x,” a fifth said.

Gok’s mystery health issue

Back in March, Gok revealed he’d been laid up in bed for days with a mystery illness.

However, he forced himself to leave the house to pay tribute to his late pal, Alison Perry, who died in May 2024.

“Been sick all week and in bed but, today I had to leave the house for 10 mins to take a cake and some music to Al’s tree for her birthday,” he wrote on Instagram at the time.
