BREAKING CHAOS: GB News Sounds the Alarm as Keir Starmer Faces PUBLIC HUMILIATION on Live TV — But What happened next shocked fans.k

GB News came to an abrupt halt as some positive news came out of Gaza – but Keir Starmer faced another crushing blow

GB News was forced to halt its regular programming schedule to issue some positive breaking news from Gaza. On Saturday night (October 11), the Prime Minister arrived in Egypt ahead of the international summit where a peace plan for Gaza is set to be signed. Sir Keir Starmer paid “particular tribute” to US President Donald Trump at the gathering in Sharm el-Sheikh.

A ceasefire in Gaza came into effect on Friday morning (October 10) after Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of a ceasefire and hostage return deal brokered by Trump, with the latter phases still to be negotiated. On Monday (October 13), hosts Eamonn Holmes and his co-star Ellie Costello brought their morning show to an abrupt halt as they announced that seven hostages had been released from captivity by the terrorist group, Hamas.

To get another viewpoint on the breaking story, the dynamic duo welcomed Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp onto the show. When he was asked about the latest development, the Tory MP branded the exciting development as a “historic day”.

He told listeners: “Well, it’s welcome news that those seven people who have been in captivity now for over two years have finally been released. Hopefully, later on this morning, the rest of the hostages will be released as well who have been in captivity for so long held by Hamas, the terrorist organisation.

“And let’s hope this is the beginning of a process which not only leads to peace in Gaza, the removal of Hamas from any kind of control of Gaza, but also ultimately the establishment of a two-state solution so Palestine and Israel can co-exist in peace.

“This could be, I think, a historic day, but let’s keep in our minds today those hostages who have suffered so much in Gaza for whom relief is coming as well.” It was at this point that Eamonn quizzed the politician about his thoughts on Keir Starmer being present at the meeting in Egypt.

The MP chuckled: “Well, he’s got a bit of a cheek to be honest because as far as I can see, this peace deal has nothing whatsoever to do with Keir Starmer or his government.

“In fact, the American Ambassador to Israel has said, I think yesterday or the day before, that this had nothing whatsoever to do with Keir Starmer’s Labour government.

“And I think Marco Rubio, the American Secretary of State said that the premature recognition which Keir Starmer’s government gave a few weeks ago actually undermined the peace process and made things more difficult.

“So, I think, to be quite honest with you, he’s got some cheek. He’s got some brass neck showing up trying to claim some credit for something which is nothing whatsoever to do with him, and in fact, if anything, he probably made it harder with his actions.”

It didn’t take long before viewers flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their thoughts on the on-air debate, with many agreeing with the politician.

One user penned: “Pretty embarrassing if you ask me. Recognising Palestine without conditions and as per Marco Rubio made the deal harder to achieve. Pure photo op.”

Another agreed: “He’s quite right. Starmer appeased terrorists by recognising a ‘State’ that doesn’t exist. His government has also threatened to arrest Netanyahu and hand him over to the ICC in The Hague.”

A third chimed in with: “Starmer taking credit for something he had nothing to do with – just another day ending in ‘why’ [facepalm emoji].”

Meanwhile, a fourth warned: “Don’t worry, he’ll get involved in the deal somehow. British taxpayers will end up paying billions to the Gaza Strip’s managers as Keir Starmer’s entry fee.”
