BBC chaos:Humiliation for ๐˜’๐˜ฆ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ as Question Time audience unites in brutal attacks on Labour

TV show’s audience gives damning appraisal of implosion by Sir ๐˜’๐˜ฆ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ’s G0vernment

A BBC Question Time audience united in condemning Labour after a week in which Sir ๐˜’๐˜ฆ๐˜ช๐˜ณ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณโ€™s premiership appeared to be hanging by a thread. Several audience members at Thursday’s show, filmed in central London โ€“ a traditional hotbed of Labour support โ€“ blasted Sir Keir and the G0vernment for the chaos that ensued after a briefing that attacked Health Secretary Wes Streeting for supposedly plotting against the PM.

The episode began with one Londoner asking: โ€œAt the last election Labour, promised that the โ€˜adults would now be back in the roomโ€™. After this weekโ€™s Cabinet briefings and internal sniping, where are they?โ€ Labour minister Alex Davies-Jones admitted that the weekโ€™s headlines had been โ€œa regrettable distraction to say the leastโ€ from the G0vernmentโ€™s policy agenda.

Ms Davies-Jones said she understands why voters care about this, โ€œbecause they care about the character of the man leading our country โ€“ that is only right, that is only naturalโ€.

She said this weekโ€™s briefing and headlines โ€œmade me angry, I think it made everybody angry because itโ€™s drama we donโ€™t need”.

She added: โ€œIโ€™m blaming whoever is responsible for leaking this, for briefing against us. Weโ€™ve got a really big job to do in terms of rebuilding our country โ€ฆ this is not helpful to say the least.โ€

Defending Sir Keir, she insisted he was focused on delivering for voters.

However, as host Fiona Bruce returned to the audience for their input, it was clear the Labour ministerโ€™s defence had failed to win them over.

A second audience member demanded to know why voters should believe Sir kEIR has โ€œfull faithโ€ in his chief of staff, after sacking two high-profile figures he previously claimed to have โ€œfull faithโ€ in.

The audience member pointed out: โ€œOne of the other people thatโ€™s not been mentioned is Morgan McSweeney, and his whole role in this. The Prime Ministerโ€™s said that he has โ€˜full confidenceโ€™ in him and heโ€™s not going anywhere.

โ€œWe have heard that twice already, withย Angela Raynerย โ€“ whom he had full confidence in and is now gone โ€“ and Lord Mandelson, whom he had full confidence in and is now gone.

“So why is it different the third time? Why should we believe him when twice before he had confidence in a high-ranking minister, and a few days later he didnโ€™t?”

A third member quipped that this week had looked โ€œlike No 10 is in an episode of The Traitors!โ€

A fourth blasted: โ€œI think the whole country has its head in their hands. Every time they put the television on or watch the news, itโ€™s all doom and gloom. Whenโ€™s something positive going to happen? Thatโ€™s what the country needs.

Lastly, a woman fumed: โ€œThis is a mess, actually, and people have lost faith in all parties. No one trusts anyone and weโ€™re actually a joke globally as well.โ€

Reform UKโ€™s Danny Kruger said the reason the G0vernment is falling apart is because the Prime Minister โ€œdoesnโ€™t actually believe in anything, and he came into G0vernment saying he was going to deliver change but without any planโ€.
