Sir Rod Stewart reportedly has made a heartbreaking admission and detailed his final wishes should he die. The 80-year-old rocker has been married to Penny Lancaster, 54, for over 25 years. Speaking on the BBC’s My Life At Christmas with Anita Rani, Rod considered where he would like to be buried when the time comes. According to the Mail, the singer reportedly disclosed that he would like to be buried in the garden of the home next to the grave of their late dog, Bubbles. He said during the episode: “You don’t want to talk about the end but he’s like, ‘Look it happens to all of us’.”
His wife Penny added: “Maybe we’ll have a family cemetery, then it has to be in the deed of the property – you buy the property, you have to maintain the cemetery of the Stewarts!”

The episode is due to air on the BBC on December 7. A synopsis teases: “In a rare in-depth interview, Sir Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster welcome Anita Rani into their home to discuss their lives, family, fame and faith, and how Christmases past and present have shaped them.
“Across an intimate fireside chat, Christmas crafting in a festive greenhouse and a stroll around the stunning grounds of their countryside home, they reflect on Rod’s rise to fame, Penny’s journey from model to special constable and festive traditions, including exchanging gifts with Elton John.”
Rod also spoke about his friendship with Sir Elton John and the lavish Christmas gifts they used to buy for each other.
According to BangShowbiz, he said: “We used to live just around the corner from each other. So we saw a lot of each other. You know, a lot of history there. So I went out down to Selfridges, Harrods, and I bought him this fridge. It don’t look like a fridge, it looks like a piece of furniture. So you press a button and the lid opens, all steam comes out, and up it comes two bottles of champagne, glasses, all chilled and everything.
“Pour yourself a drink, and it goes back down. So I was all pleased with myself. And I took it over to Elton’s. I said, ‘Here you are, dear’. And he said, ‘Thank you it’s so lovely. Here’s your present’.
“It was a Rembrandt. A Rembrandt etching in those days was worth about 12 grand. It’s up near the cinema room in Beverly Hills. Oh yeah, it’s very special.”
My Life At Christmas with Anita Rani is on BBC One on December 7 at 10.30am.
