“I’M SO DONE!” Dylan Dreyer’s EMOTIONAL OUTBURST SHOCKS FANS!

Today’s meteorologist Dylan Dreyer is a busy mom away from our TV screen and she regularly shares updates about her family life on social media.

This week, the 43-year-old expressed her frustration in an Instagram post showing herself playing with her children , three-year-old Rusty, five-year-old Ollie and eight-year-old Calvin. The group found themselves frustrated while playing the popular Mouse Trap game, which is known for being tricky.

Sharing a clip on the social media platform , Dylan wrote, “Has anyone ever actually played the game how it’s supposed to be played??? Most frustrating game on the planet.” Her followers took to the comment section to share their opinions, as one wrote, “Is that mouse trap?! Ohhhh I loved that game as a kid!”

Another said, “I HID that game!!! It’s still in our game closet; I am happy to donate it.” One more said, “I can’t remember but I’m sure you will be finding its pieces all over the place for the next 5 years!”

In a separate post, Dylan shared the ingredients she had bought to make a lentil soup – but said she was pretty sure that her children wouldn’t eat it. The TV host said, “I mean, I KNOW my kids are not going to eat lentil soup. So why do I bother??? Why am I rushing home between appointments to whip up lentil soup that everyone is going to complain about? Because maybe there’s a CHANCE…”

Many fans agreed with Dylan, with one saying, “I’m with you ! I always try anyway hoping.” Another added, “My daughter asks her kiddos to try new foods and each time they try a new food, they receive a sticker on their calendar, 5 stickers allows a choice of the weekend family movie.”

A third said, “Never lose faith .. they will always enjoy it! Love lentil soup.” One more agreed, “I like lentil soup. BACON will surely make them want to eat some… I might have to add that to mine next time.!”

Another encouraging follower commented, “Good job Dylan! Your kids are at the perfect age to introduce new foods. If as parents, we just give them dinners that we think they want – such as chicken fingers, ramen, french fries, etc were kind of creating a monster. Cook real and good foods that you like and those foods will become their favorites too. It’s all about introducing a variety of foods and developing their palates and taste buds.”

Much to her surprise, though, her boys eventually liked the soup, she said in a follow up post. Dylan filmed her children reacting to the recipe and saying they liked it. Posting the clip, she wrote in the caption, “SOUP SUCCESS!!! All 3 liked the lentil soup and ate it all!! Moral: don’t give up…keep trying new things. Actual moral: totally got lucky. Guaranteed they won’t eat the leftovers tomorrow!”

On Tuesday, Dylan stepped in for her colleague Al Roker who was absent from the show and she shared the screen with hosts Craig Melvin and Savannah Guthrie. The meteorologist, who is an anchor on the 3rd Hour, usually pops up later on in the program alongside Al, Craig and Sheinelle Jones, but this time she appeared on Today earlier than usual.

Al’s absence came just a day after he, Dylan and Craig announced that the NBC network morning show will be hitting the road later this month, hosting a special live show in celebration of Mardi Gras, which falls on March 4 this year. Hosts will broadcast the 3rd Hour live from New Orleans , Louisiana , they announced on Monday.

Sharing the news from Studio 1A, Al told viewers, “Now we’ve got some exciting news to share. We are taking the show on the road to New Orleans. On the 3rd Hour of Today on Friday, February 28 we’re going to head down to celebrate Mardi Gras in the Big Easy. We’re going to take in the parades, festivities, sights, sounds and tastes of the city.”

Dylan explained that fans can take part in the live audience during the special show, saying, “We want you guys to join in on our fun.” Craig also told viewers that Today is launching its ever food event, called Taste of New Orleans, which will see some of the city’s best chefs cook up their favourite dishes. Tickets for the live audience are sold out but you can register for Taste of New Orleans here , at the price of $249.
