UNBELIEVABLE: Celebrity Traitors’ Lucy Beaumont breaks silence on show with B0MBSHELL CONFESSION

Lucy Beaumont, the 42-year-old comedienne currently appearing on Celebrity Traitors, has explained her recent social media silence. Despite regularly posting comedic snippets to her thousands of Instagram followers, she’s taken a step back while the pre-recorded BBC reality show airs. The programme, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, involves celebrities living in a castle and trying to identify the traitor among them.

Despite viewers knowing from the outset that sports commentator Clare Balding was a ‘Faithful’ before her expulsion from the castle, Lucy admitted she still suspects Clare could be the traitor. In a new video, she said: “People have been asking about The Traitors when I’m out and about, but I haven’t done any videos about it. I thought you thought we were still there. Do you think we are still in the castle? No one knows where the castle is, do they? There’s a lot of mystery around it and I’ve been very careful not to give anything away.”

She added: “And then people ask me about The Traitors and I just say ‘It’s Clare Balding,’ and they say ‘No, we know who The Traitors are!’ But I think it’s Clare Balding, still. I can’t let it go. I knew who the Traitors were, but I haven’t been talking to anyone because I didn’t know that you knew that I knew who the Traitors were. Do you know that I know? So do you think I’m there and I don’t know, or do you think that I’m not there and I shouldn’t know?

“Do you see why I haven’t done a video? I think it’s Clare Balding! I haven’t been doing a weekly shop. I’ve only been doing a couple of days because I think we’re going back. I think we’re gonna go back, I think there’s a sequel. I’m still in guessing mode. I think it’s Clare Balding!”

The bewildering outburst grabbed her fans’ attention, leaving them equally baffled by the conclusion of her clip.

One commented: “I don’t know what I thought before I watched this but I’m more confused about things I wasn’t confused about before watching this [shocked face emoji].”

Another remarked: “I think I know less now than when I started watching the video,” whilst a third playfully proposed: “Maybe best to just pretend you don’t know anything?”

It’s believed that Lucy’s appearance on The Traitors might elevate her professional prospects, following her separation from fellow comic and Waterloo Road actor Jon Richardson. A source revealed to The Sun before the series aired: “Lucy is a massive fan of the show and is so excited about getting stuck in at Ardross Castle. After her split from Jon, she has been working really hard to make more of a name for herself, and Celebrity Traitors is the ideal opportunity.”

The relationship’s conclusion came as a bombshell to supporters, as the duo had emerged as an enormous power couple following their appearance in their own programme, Meet The Richardsons, which debuted in 2020.

During their separation, a mutual statement declared: “We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.

“As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being. We will be making no further comment. Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont.”
