This weekend, Channel 4 viewers are in for a treat as a new reality show is about to begin giving 13 people the chance to win a huge cash prize.
Titled The Inheritance, the immersive series will see a group of people summoned to a grand stately home to compete for part of the fortune left in the will of ‘The Deceased’, played by Elizabeth Hurley.
However, it won’t be so straightforward as The Deceased has created a series of games the contestants must take part in to try and get their hands on her inheritance.
Host Rob Rinder, who is playing the role of The Deceased’s Executor and trusted legal counsel, will be on hand to oversee the contestants’ take part in the challenges.
A synopsis for the show reads: “The lucky thirteen must work as a team to complete The Deceased’s final requests, a series of devilishly difficult assignments that will demand they are clever, collaborative and cunning.
“The Deceased’s game has a delicious twist: only one player can claim the money gained in each request, so it’s up to one of them to persuade the others that they alone deserve the cash they earn together.”
However, when appearing on Friday’s instalment of The One Show, the 60-year-old spoke to hosts JB Gill and Lauren Laverne about the upcoming show, making one shocking confession.

During the conversation, she admitted to never meeting the contestants, despite playing a key role in the series.
When asked to explain more about her role, Liz replied: “I never actually met any of them, of course, because my character wasn’t there! I was on VHS tape, which they watch on a very old TV set.”
Despite not meeting the people playing for the cash prize, Liz had nothing but praise when speaking about host Robert Rinder, admitting she adores him.

She added: “He was my sidekick, who of course I never meet, because I’m dead and he’s there with the contestants.
“So, I never really mingled with any of them, I was just sadly by myself to film my bits. But, I’ve seen it, and it’s great!”
The first episode of the series is set to air on Sunday night as the players are instantly thrown in the deep end with their first request from ‘the deceased’.
