Rob McElhenney confirmed that he and his family were able to escape the Los Angeles wildfires

Wrexham owner Rob McElhenney revealed that he and his loved ones are safe as wildfires continues to terrorize the greater Los Angeles area.

Posting on social media on Wednesday, McElhenney penned an emotional message expressing sympathy for those whose lives have been affected by the ongoing natural disaster. The ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ star – who lives in the suburban LA neighborhood of Brentwood with his wife Kaitlin Olson and their two sons – confirmed that his family managed to escape unscathed.

“Our family is safe. So many homes, whole neighborhoods are just… gone. Everyone in our lives reaching out, which makes our heart so full,” he wrote on X. “An astonishing amount of bravery displayed by the first responders going into to hell to help. THANK YOU.”

McElhenney is far from the only Hollywood A-lister who’s been forced to evacuate due to the d.e.adly wildfires, which officials say have put nearly 30,000 structures under threat. Mark Hamill, Mandy Moore, Jamie Lee Curtis and James Woods all needed to flee their homes in Pacific Palisades and neighboring Los Angeles communities.

“Evacuated Malibu so last minute there [were] small fires on both sides of the road as we approached [the Pacific Coast Highway],” Hamill shared on Instagram Tuesday night. “Most horrific fire since ‘93 STAY SAFE!”

Curtis informed her six million followers that her home and family were safe, but many of her friends and neighbors were not as fortunate. “My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well,” she said.

“It is a terrifying situation and I’m grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze. Neighbors have taken care of neighbors. We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it’s particularly shocking. Life on life’s terms.”

Moore and her family were also forced to flee from the Eaton fire, which burned over 10,000 acres and many structures in Altadena and Pasadena. “Grateful for the kindness of friends that we had a place to land last night,” she divulged in an Instagram Story.

“Trying to shield the kids from the immense sadness and worry I feel. Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it.”

The Palisades Fire began burning at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, with the Eaton Fire breaking out later in the day at around 6:30 p.m. The blazes have since since engulfed thousands of acres across the Los Angeles area, with over 1,000 homes and businesses being burnt. As of writing, at least two people have d.i.e.d from the wildfires.
