Danny Jones’ wife ‘furious at way he’s handled kiss scandal as he shows different side’

McFly singer Danny Jones has reportedly left his wife Georgia Horsley furious over how he has handled the Maura Higgins kiss scandal as he ‘showed a different side of himself’

Danny Jones’ wife Georgia Horsley is said to have been left furious after seeing a different side to his character. The former Miss England has taken time away from their family home as she comes to terms with his betrayal.

The McFly singer, 39, was spotted kissing Love Island star Maura Higgins, 34, at a BRIT Awards afterparty last month. Since then, Georgia has remained silent while her husband issued a groveling public apology to her and their son Cooper, seven.

Danny told fans he was attempting to work through the incident with his family. However, Georgia, 38, has since taken a step away from their family home and has moved in with her close friend in London.

She has spent a few nights with pal Rose, who is also good friends with Danny, to “get away from it all”. Georgia and Danny broke cover together last week on a walk in a local park. Yet, they kept their distance from each other as well as their faces clearly showing how tough the past few weeks have been.

Georgia has since been seen again with her pals as they rallied around to support her and try to resume normal life by heading to a beer garden. Despite trying to keep her chin up, sources have claimed the scandal as gone “beyond the kiss with Maura”. They said: “He [Danny] has shown a different side to his character.”

They added to MailOnline : “Georgia has been frustrated with his priorities throughout the whole sordid saga. At every step, he has chosen to protect his own career over the feelings of his family. For Georgia, her boy Cooper will always be her number one priority.” Another claimed Georgia is “furious” at her husband.

Danny issued a grovelling apology as his actions continued to generate headlines. In a statement shared via Instagram, the McFly star said: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.

“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”

Georgia is yet to address the scandal but the Mirror has confirmed she has not permanently moved out of their home. A source exclusively told The Mirror of Danny and Georgia’s living plans: “They are still together but Danny is still in the dog house and it’s very much a fragile union.

They are both hoping to be able to work through their problems. That hasn’t changed. She is allowed a few days to decompress and see a friend.”

A source later revealed to us that Danny felt “mortified” by the attention from his kiss and is desperate to make it up to his family. They said: “Danny has been mortified about what’s happened and the awful situation he has put everyone in. He cares so deeply about his family and hopes his words will draw a line under what has been a deeply upsetting time, for everyone.

“Georgia and his son are absolutely everything to him. Throughout all this, he has been so thankful for the support of his fans. He just wants to move on, and heal in private. Fair play to Danny to owning this and addressing things head-on.”
