In a recent game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets, Spurs star Victor Wembanyama and Nuggets star Russell Westbrook had a heated exchange. Although the Nuggets won the 111-122 game, fans continued to discuss the exchange. Recently, the specific wording of their trash-talking surfaced online.
Wembanyama attempted a layup during the second quarter when he noticed Westbrook approaching him from behind. Unfortunately, Wembanyama was fouled by Westbrook during his layup attempt. After the play, the two engaged in a heated exchange. Recently, Legendz uploaded leaked audio of their discussion.
Wemby: “You should’ve just went for the ball because you’re not gonna hit me in the head”
Russ: What?
Wemby: “Just watch the head”
Russ: “What?”
Following the heated exchanges, Wembanyama and Westbrook shared a humorous interaction. Westbrook playfully tapped Wembanyama on the head, to which Wembanyama responded with a light tap. Westbrook scored 9 points 6 assists and 10 rebounds for the Nuggets. While Wembanyama scored 20 points 3 assists and 23 rebounds for the Spurs.

Victor Wembanyama stunned the basketball community in his debut season by winning the NBA Rookie of the Year award. “At the time, Wemby had a tendency, when he set the pick and roll, he rolled and he’d stay down there. Pop [Gregg Popovich] was like, ‘No, I want him to start hunting shots a little more. Stuff that took me years to learn, he can do it and download it in five minutes. It was incredible,” Crawford said.
Victor Wembanyama is averaging 25.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in the 2024-25 NBA season. Recently, he shared a heartfelt moment with a young fan on the court. The San Antonio Spurs will next play against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

An interesting NFC team has requested permission from the Dallas Cowboys to speak with Mike McCarthy for their head coaching vacancy.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Todd Archer, the Chicago Bears asked the Cowboys for permission to interview Mike McCarthy. The 61-year-old has completed his five-year deal with Dallas, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has yet to make a decision on McCarthy’s future with the team.
The Bears fired head coach Matt Eberflus after a 4-8 start and named Thomas Brown the interim HC. Chicago, however, failed to improve after the change and lost four of five games under Brown.
So the Bears’ brass is tasked with finding a new head coach to help promising young quarterback Caleb Williams, who turned in a tremendous rookie year despite being held back by inept coaching.
