KELVIN Fletcher says his “amazingly well-connected” pal Mark Wright will stay in Los Angeles to continue his successful presenting career.

But the ex-Emmerdale hunk, who is bidding for his own big Hollywood break, predicts Mark will big a smash hit Stateside after visiting him and Michelle Keegan in LA earlier this year.

He told The Daily Star: “He’s a really talented, very charismatic guy but he’s not changed at all and he’s very grateful for what he’s got.”

In fact, Mark has taken to Hollywood like a fish to water and already knows some big names in Tinsel Town.

Kelvin says: “He is amazingly well connected. Within the first week I was out having a beer with Niall from One Direction.”

The former Towie star began work as presenter on showbiz channel Extra last year but it has meant he has had to spend spent months apart from Michelle as she filmed Our Girl in various locations.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain last month, he said: “If it ever wasn’t working, I would fly home, it’s an 11 hour flight. My marriage comes first.

“Yeah if Michelle didn’t like living here and she preferred life back home, I would go back.

“She would never say that, she wants me to conquer my dreams and I want her to conquer hers but marriage and my love life comes first.”

Both Mark and Michelle have both insisted that long distance relationships can work.

Mark told the morning show: “Yeah I miss her and she misses me but it’s a nice feeling sometimes and it makes the heart grow fonder as they say.

“I prefer having her around but right now she’s so driven, I’m so driven.

“She’s an actress, I’m a host and we’re both doing what we want to do.

“In five years or whenever it may be and we have a family, we might not be as flexible travelling around the globe and trying to conquer our dreams so right now we just try to see each other as much as we can.”
