Actress Brittany Parks has revealed she was diagnosed with stage four breast c@ncer. The American star is best known for starring in the award-winning musical drama series, Glee, which aired in the UK on Channel 4. Brittany appeared on the programme throughout its run from May 2009 to March 2015 as a dancer, and was supported by her famous co-stars as she opened up about the “difficult” diagnosis on social media.
Alongside a carousel of photos that highlighted just how fast life can change, the dancer wrote: “You never think you’ll be the one sitting here trying to figure out the best way to tell the people you know and love that you have c@ncer…but here we are. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 2 Triple Negative Breast c@ncer.” She continued: “Since my diagnosis, it has been non-stop tests, doctors’ appointments, and mental rollercoasters. However, working closely with my doctors, I feel confident and at ease with the treatment plan I am currently undergoing.”
Brittany shared: “The next year is going to be difficult, and that’s to say the least. But knowing that I WILL be okay and will come out on the other side kicking c@ncer’s ass has me currently at peace and ready for the ride.
“I am beyond grateful for the love and strength my family, friends and community have shown me thus far. I don’t know where I would be without each and every one of you picking me up when at times I feel dragged down.”
“But I know that I’ll get through this, and I am truly thankful for the overwhelming support and prayers coming my way,” she concluded.
The actress was inundated with well-wishes and support from fans and her Glee co-stars, including Heather Morris, who reacted in the comments, “My queen. You’re the strongest b***h I know. Stronger than this diagnosis. I love you so deep it hurts, and I got you like you had me at my toughest. Forever and beyond.”

Jenna Ushkowitz, who starred on all six seasons of the drama series, penned: “You are amazing and the bravest. I love you.”
As one fan shared: “So, so much love for you BP! Your community’s support will lift you up no matter what, and you got this!!”
According to a GoFundMe created by Heather to assist with her rent payments and medical bills, Brittany was sadly diagnosed with c@ncer on March 31.
At the time of writing, the fundraiser has raised $34,964 of the $50,000 goal.
