Morning Live’s Gethin Jones has been inundated with supportive messages following his heartfelt farewell to Instagram fans.
The television host revealed last Friday that he would be stepping away for the summer break, returning in September when Morning Live resumes broadcasting. He subsequently posted on Instagram with a touching message for his supporters.

Accompanied by footage from Morning Live, Gethin penned: “We’ll be back soon! I’ve said it a lot, but it’s quite incredible how many of you not only watch @bbcmorninglive, but also get involved with the show. Sharing your stories to help others.
“Will miss you and the gang! And dancing in the sun,” reports Wales Online.
Gethin’s admirers flocked to the comments section to send their well-wishes and express how much they’ll miss him during his absence.
One fan gushed: “Aww!! You’re not allowed to be away for 6 weeks! Definitely one of my favourite programmes. Hope you all have an amazing summer.”
Another viewer shared: “Missing you already, my mornings won’t be the same! I’m 80 years young and always start my day with you and the gang! Enjoy your break xx.”
A third supporter chimed in: “Will miss you all – have a great break and see you in September! Thank you for such a brilliant programme.
“Have a great summer will miss you all loads thank you to everyone on the show,” penned a fourth devotee.
Another added, “Enjoy yourselves. I’m sure you will all be working on other things as well. I look forward to seeing you all back in September.”

As Friday’s Morning Live wrapped up, Gethin announced to the audience: “That’s all we’ve got time for today.
“Morning Live is taking a break for a few weeks, but we’ll be back on Monday, 1st September at 9.30am.”
He concluded with a warm farewell, “Thank you for watching, thanks for getting involved with the show, we’ll see you very soon. Have a lovely summer.”
