Kaley Cuoco is officially adding one more thing to her already busy life.
The Big Bang Theory alum has been starring on Based on a True Story on Peacock, which recently finished season 2, with fans anxiously waiting to hear about a potential season 3. But don’t think Kaley is just sitting around in the meantime! It turns out she has a lot going on behind the scenes — and her latest gig involves working on another big TV project.
According to an announcement on Deadline on March 24, Kaley is set to star in a new TV show called Vanished. Being marketed as a suspense drama, the actress will work alongside Daisy Jones and the Six star Sam Claflin, three-time Cesar winner Karen Viard and German actor (and Oppenheimer star) Matthias Schweighöfer in a story riddled with mystery and secrets. Additionally, Barnaby Thompson will direct the series, and the outlet writes that the premise will see Kaley’s character getting “plunged into a web of intrigue and danger” when her boyfriend suddenly disappears while on a train during the couple’s Parisian romantic vacation.

While there’s no confirmation yet about if and when Vanished will make it onto the airwaves, TV Insider did share the show is being shopped by AGC Studios, the company producing the series. Either way, Kaley will be filming the show sometime in late April. What’s more, she’ll go on location for the shoot, with Vanished being set in Paris and Marseille, France.
As for how Kaley is feeling about her new project, it’s easy to say she’s pretty excited about it. Sharing a screenshot of the announcement from Variety on her Instagram story, she couldn’t help but get all hyped up for what’s to come.
“Extremely grateful to head back to work,” she wrote in a heartfelt message about the big news. “Merci!”
