Tua Tagovailoa is certainly having a good time during the offseason, but he may be having too good of a time.
Coming off an injury-riddled 2024 campaign in which he played in only 10 games, the Miami Dolphins quarterback has certainly not taken the time to work out much.
This week, the Dolphins quarterback is catching quite the backlash after footage surfaced of him on a yacht while with family and friends.
Tagovailoa could visibly be seen in the background, sporting a noticeable beer belly.
You can check out the video here.
Here is how social media reacted:
“I love Tua but some things are not a good look. Skinny arms and a belly for an NFL QB. When does off-season weight training start? There is a reason Brady was so good for so long, complete dedication and disipline. Tua is 27 and he’s got a 40 yr old dad body,” one fan said.
“Better get back in shape and lose that beer gut,” a second fan said of Tua Tagovailoa.
“Keep gaining weight, lol,” a third fan stated.
“Looks like he’s been sitting on the couch eating chips!!” a fourth person commented.
One final fan added: “Another 9-8 season loading.”

Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel will be down a player in offense and special teams after wide receiver Braxton Berrios left the team to sign a one-year, $2 million contract with the Texans for the 2025 NFL season.
Berrios spent 2023 and 2024 with McDaniel and Tagovailoa in Miami. Last year, he averaged 25.3 yards per return and 14.7 yards per punt return before tearing his ACL in Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season.
Due to Tua’s noted injury history, the team struck a one-year, $6 million deal with Zach Wilson on Monday.
Wilson, who the New York Jets took with the No. 2 overall pick in 2021, struggled as a starter in New York. He spent last season on the Broncos’ roster in Denver.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa finished 2024 with 2,867 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, seven interceptions, and an NFL-best 72.9 completion percentage.
