Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova has teased that she is making a return to television following her departure from the BBC ballroom programme. The dancer was a professional on the hugely popular show, but has left ahead of the forthcoming 2026 series alongside fellow pros Karen Hauer, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Michelle Tsiakkas, reports Wales Online.
Nevertheless, Nadiya has now disclosed that she has more TV projects in the pipeline. Asked about her professional plans following her Strictly exit, she revealed to Betway that she would be playing Tinkerbell in Peter Pan in pantomime this year and hinted: “There are also some TV projects coming up that I can’t talk about yet, but they are things I’ve always wanted to do.”

“It’s a very creative future for me,” she added.
Nadiya confirmed in March that she was departing Strictly after nine years as part of the professional line-up, telling her fans on Instagram: “This isn’t the end… I look forward to being part of the Strictly world for many years to come in ways I am beginning to explore.”
She has now revealed of her post-BBC career: “I’m definitely moving more into the creative side of things, with choreographing, producing shows, and developing my own ideas. I love collaborating, and I have a collaboration coming up with one of the orchestras in the UK to create a show combining music and dance in a way I haven’t seen done before. I’m really excited about that.”

Nadiya also shared that she intends to pursue acting further, having made her big screen acting debut in the film 10 Dance earlier this year.
Featuring Japanese actor Keita Machida, the movie follows the story of two rival dancers whose partnership on the dance floor ignites an unexpected connection. The Netflix production was something the star said she “really enjoyed”, adding that “it inspired me to keep developing that skill”.
Nadiya’s role in 10 Dance was met with an overwhelmingly positive response from fans after it was unveiled, with one Instagram user describing her as “breathtaking” in the film, and another praising her performance as “beautiful and captivating”.
