REUNION SH0CKER In Emmerdale As Robron COME BACK TOGETHER But Aaron’s WEDDING To John GOES AHEAD In TWISTED TURN Of Events
Robron are reunited! Well, they were. Very briefly at least!
The HUGE news in Emmerdale this week was the return of actual Robert Sugden during Aaron and John’s wedding and all the drama that ensued. It was the moment we’ve been waiting for these last six years.
And it definitely didn’t disappoint.
The timing of Robert’s arrival was spot-on, the cheeky “miss me” was a delight, the kiss was chef’s-kiss perfection.
And that’s before you throw in John almost killing Aidan, and the lake being dredged and a body discovered. It was high drama and we loved it all.
But we have a few notes.
Obviously.
Here’s what we thought of the Robron reunion and everything else that happened in this week’s Emmerdale.

John’s sinister behaviour
John continues to be the most sinister and the most weirdly sympathetic serial killer ever to stalk the village. This week he was confronted by Aidan’s mum who was – unfairly we thought – upset that John had moved on, three years after Aidan was injured.
He went off to the hospital and had a quick chat with his newly recovered ex. And then he pulled out a syringe and told him he knew Aidan was going to tell everyone what he did.
But before he could do his thing, John got cold feet. He told Aidan he couldn’t do it. What a twist! And then there was another twist as Aidan suffered a cardiac arrest and fell back into his coma.
It was a real rollercoaster!
Anyway, once that drama was over, John headed back to the village ready to say his vows.
And that’s when Robert arrived.
Brilliant stuff!

Robron reunited!
Now, we’re thinking that all that time in jail has messed with Robert’s memory a bit. Because he seems to have forgotten that he was the one who told Aaron to move on when he went to prison. It was his call. And now he’s all like “ohh I still love you!”
Robron devotees we may be but we were a bit rankled by him saying “I was always coming back for you.”
Dude, you literally told Aaron you didn’t want to see him any more.
Also, as Aaron pointed out, he could have been released earlier, when Victoria found out the truth about Lee and his fight with Luke. But no. He waited until now to arrive. Bit unfair all round, Robert.
And while we’re on the subject of short memories, it was a bit weird that the whole village was suddenly on John’s side and not Robert’s. Did they learn nothing from their devotion to Tom King?!
We are quite interested in the social media Robert saw that let him know the wedding was happening, mind you. Was it Victoria’s? Aaron’s? John’s?! “GRWM as I go to watch the body of a man I killed being dragged from the lake…”

Robron reunited: That kiss
Little niggling details aside, though, how perfect was that kiss on the bridge? Robron’s back! And yes, Robert’s back in jail, and Aaron’s married John, but it’s going to happen. Right?

Is Aaron in danger? Is Robert?
With John not afraid to kill to get what he wants, we couldn’t help worrying about what the future holds. It may have been intended to be romantic, but when he told Aaron “I’m never letting you go” we thought it sounded more like a threat!
Where are the children?
Now, far be it for us to criticise the parenting on Emmerdale but Harry’s just out of hospital, he’s been really unwell, his uncle was getting married and the poor little lad was nowhere to be seen. It’s a mystery.
Meanwhile, Cain and Moira were at the wedding and then Moira went home with Ross and Lewis, Kyle was watching the lake being dredged, and Isaac… well, no idea where he’d got to.
And Robert seems to have forgotten all about his son, Seb. He even said if Aaron chose him it would be just the two of them. Robron forever. No mention of poor Seb. Oops.

Lewis got nasty
Yes, we know we’re fickle and last week we were whinging about Lewis being a bit annoying but we quite loved him showing his claws this week.
The whole marijuana thing is weird though – like a rubbish version of Breaking Bad.
And our hatred of Mack just keeps growing. Charity’s basically his mum now. He’s the absolute worse. Lewis should have left him in that attic.
Our love of Ross, though, knows no bounds. How cute was he when he asked about Seb?
Bring back Adam!
All the talk of Moira killing Emma, and letting Adam take the blame made us remember two things. Firstly that it was pretty rubbish of her to let her son take the rap. And secondly, Adam really, really needs to come home now.

Joe is wasted
Joe Tate could be an excellent baddie. He has everything that being an excellent baddie needs.
He’s handsome, charming, rich, seemingly completely lacking any sort of moral compass or sense of right and wrong… He’s a total chip off his dad’s block.
And yet, he is choosing to use his evil skills on trying to woo Dawn Fletcher, and bullying little Clemmie. What a waste!
