BREAKING NEWS: ITV show set to be axed after just one series

The ITV game show, Time is Money, is set to be axed. According to TV Zone, the series will not return for a season two, following its premiere on 1 January, 2026. Helmed by Dragons’ Den and Strictly Come Dancing star, Sara Davies, the high-stakes show saw contestants starting each game with their prize money. Confronted with difficult questions, each time a player failed to answer correctly, or even hesitated, their money would slip away.

While Time is Money is not expected to return, fans of the show may continue to stream all episodes of season one on ITVX.

Playing host to some of the nation’s best-loved game shows, ITV continues to enjoy success with The Chase, Tipping Point and Lingo drawing in viewers. On the flip side, however, the broadcasting giant has been forced to make some tough cuts this year, too.
Among them, it’s been reported that The Summit, a big-budget competition series hosted by This Morning’s Ben Shephard, has been axed. Launched in February during a prime-time weekday slot, ITV apparently made the decision to scrap it after viewership figures were lower than expected.
Taking place across eight episodes, season one followed 14 strangers as they endeavoured to climb one of New Zealand’s highest peaks in order to secure the £200,000 prize.
