Live With Kelly and Mark is saying farewell to its longtime home, and Mark Consuelos has something to say about it.

Back in 2024, Mark and his wife Kelly Ripa revealed the long-running daytime series would be moving locations in early 2025. Live had been filmed at the iconic ABC building on the Upper West Side of New York City for the last 37 years, and folks learned the show would be moving downtown to the new Disney headquarters in the SoHo area. Well, on March 31, the hosts and audiences said goodbye to the iconic studio after filming there for a whopping 37 years (Live with Regis and Kathie Lee first aired in 1988).
Ahead of the big day, though, Mark went on Live‘s Instagram to share his thoughts on the emotional move downtown. Turns out, the studio and building as a whole meant a lot to him, as Mark and Kelly also met and filmed All My Children in the same building.
“This is our last show here in this building,” he began the clip. “This place actually gave me the nerve to ask my wife to marry me — and we did the next day in Vegas! So I have a lot to thank … I’m thankful to this place.”

When fans learned about the latest move for Mark, Kelly and the future of their talk show, they sent him kind words in the comments.
“Congratulations!! Bittersweet for sure! Enjoy the new studio creating more ever lasting memories ❤️,” one person wrote. “I loved watching and also cried a lot. I can’t wait to see you all in the new building 🫶🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽,” another penned. “Can’t wait for your next chapter, love [you] guys 😊,” a different follower added.
When speaking to People about Live With Kelly and Mark moving locations after such a long time, Mark got sentimental about the significance the ABC building had for the couple and the lives they built together.
“Our kids grew up here,” he stated, referencing the married duo’s sons Michael and Joaquin and daughter Lola.”They’d come visit mom here a lot — they were always backstage, even when they were babies … Some of our closest friends are people that work here. We’re a family at Live, and growing up, those were some of the people our kids were closest to.”
Congrats, and we can’t wait to see the next chapter of Live as we know it!
