SH0CK CONFESSION: Rylan Clark And Rob Rinder BREAK SILENCE On Romance Rumors
Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder sent the nation into a spin after their undeniable chemistry during the TV show Grand Tour last year.
The pair travelled to Italy in the hit travel show and in their latest project the duo have explored India together.
While the friends have made it clear that they aren’t involved romantically, and Rylan himself now has a boyfriend, the pair have finally addressed the rumours.
Asked in an interview by Radio Times why people assume they are in a relationship Rylan explained: ‘I think people still presume that two gay guys who get on must be together; that two gay men can’t just be mates. My mum gets people saying congratulations to her.’
Speaking about how their relationship is in some ways like a marriage, Rylan joked: ‘I love him, but if we were in a relationship I’d be in prison because I would have smothered him with a pillow by now. That’s what marriage is, isn’t it? Row all the time and don’t have sex. We’re in a proper marriage.’
The pair admitted they have even seen each other naked, but nothing has never happened between them, as they insisted ‘No way!… It would feel like incest.’

The pair’s new series sees them travel to India as they start the first episode off in Delhi, visiting the city’s sights including the 16th-century tomb of Emperor Humayun, which inspired the Taj Mahal, and the India Gate.
Back in May the duo won a Bafta for the first series of Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour and Rylan shared a heartbreaking divorce confession during their speech.
After accepting the award, Rylan, who split with his ex-husband Dan Neal in 2021 after six years of marriage, spoke candidly about what the show meant to him.
He admitted he ‘wasn’t fully over’ the break-up and his travels around Italy with Rob and the crew became a ‘therapy’ for him.
‘For me, the show, it happened at a really weird time for me, like I still wasn’t fully over, sort of, the breakdown of my marriage and was flung with the judge,’ Rylan confessed while he clutched his Bafta award.
He added: ‘It was the best therapy I needed, put it that way.’
‘I think the journey, and I hate that word in telly but it’s so true, when you watch our series, that journey from when we meet to… how raw, especially, I was at that time,’ Rylan divulged.
He described how it felt like ‘being an adolescent again and starting again but with cameras there’.

However the former X Factor star is now in love once again and is in a relationship with fairground worker boyfriend Kennedy Bates.
Rylan previously admitted that his new boyfriend is the first man he’s introduced to his family since his divorce.
The star announced his new romance as he interviewed star Louis Theroux on his How To Be In Love podcast, which has documented his mission to find love.
He revealed he had been ‘blatant’ about the romance, heading on multiple public dates with the man but ‘nobody noticed’.
And the pair have even discussed having children, with Rylan telling Louis both he and his new man want kids.
Rylan said: ‘At this time I’m very happy. Recently I have gotten into a relationship and it’s great and it feels very different to anything I’ve had before, which is a good sign to me.
‘It’s the first person I’ve met in four years that I’ve introduced to my family. I’m happy. I’ve not done probably what I should-slash-did do – which is not really go to restaurants, not really do this and want to keep it on the quiet – I’ve done the opposite.
‘I’ve been so blatant about it [but] no one’s noticed, which I’m sort of a little bit cocky at and I’m going to own.
‘But I thought I’m not going to… just because of my job and I don’t want people finding out, I’m not going to miss out on this part.

‘I’m loving what I’ve got at the minute and I want to keep it that way.’
Rylan first shared he was in a new relationship on the BBC Radio 2 show last week, after playing a clip from his podcast interview with Louis.
As the clip came to an end, his co-host Lottie Uttley cheekily asked him if there was ‘something else’ that was mentioned, sparking a cheeky exchange where Rylan jokingly brushed off her questions, before confirming he was indeed seeing someone.
He said: ‘I might have said that I’m… it feels weird saying it on the radio!’ before admitting he’d ‘kept it a secret for so long,’ but he was indeed ‘seeing someone’.
