HEARTBREAKING: Gogglebox Star Anastasia Katselas Issues SAD ANNOUNCEMENT After Enduring DEVASTATING Health Battle

A star of Gogglebox has been inundated with well-wishes after undergoing emergency surgery. Anastasia Katselas, a Melbourne-based TV personality who shot to fame on the Australian version of the show in 2015, revealed she was rushed to hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.

Taking to Instagram, Anastasia shared a video in which she disclosed that she had undergone an emergency hysterectomy after doctors discovered cancer in her uterus following concerns raised by a smear test. She began: “I had a little bit of a health scare, I went into hospital on Tuesday after I got diagnosed with cancer in my uterus so I had an emergency hysterectomy. I’m fine, I’m home now, I stayed in hospital on Tuesday, Wednesday, came home Thursday, I’m fine, just a bit sore, recovering well.” She added: “It was a big scare, but thank God they caught it early and I am fine. But I urge all you women, make sure that you do your pap smears regularly, don’t wait, don’t forget about it.

“I used to do them regularly and I think the last few years I didn’t go, I can’t remember the last time I went.”

She continued: “I happened to go to the doctor, because I had a concern, and they did a pap smear and lo and behold, a week later I am in the hospital.

“They said they caught it early, but I am still waiting for the after surgery tests, and hopefully, the doctor said it did not spread, so hopefully I will be okay.”

In the caption, she wrote: “Recovering after surgery. I’m. Fine. Very lucky. @cabrinihealth @drtommanolitsis @allmedicalwantirna thank you for looking after me so promptly. God saved me again. Thank you God.”

Her followers were quick to offer their support, with one commenting: “Sending love and well wishes for a speedy recovery.”

Another exclaimed: “What?!! Hope you’re okay and have a speedy recovery! Glad you got it early xxx.”

“Omg! Thank god they got it early. And you’re recovering. How traumatic for you and the family. Always have to have things checked. Speedy recovery Anastasia,” a third fan added.

Anastasia is a familiar face on Gogglebox, appearing alongside her best friend Faye, with the duo having been regular fixtures since the show’s inception.

As the popular programme launched its 21st season earlier this year, the pair spoke to TV Week about their continued involvement in the series.

“We’ll be there in our rocking chairs,” Anastasia joked. “I love everything about it! I love the fact I’m on TV.”
