FOX Sports’ Erin Andrews had an enjoyable time covering Super Bowl LIX, but not everything went according to plan.

Just over a week after the Super Bowl, the Fox sideline reporter is now dishing out something that went along with her experience in New Orleans, and it involves her husband.

Going over her Super Bowl LIX experience with Fox colleague Charissa Thompson, — Andrews revealed how much of a nuisance her husband, Jarret Stoll, was a night before football’s biggest spectacle.

The Fox Sports NFL sideline reporter explained that her retired hockey player husband was painting the town red in the French Quarter while she was trying to get ready for the big game.

The night before the championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome, Stoll was seen partying it up at a FOX bash on Bourbon Street with the other spouses of FOX’s broadcast team.

The next day, he was noticeably under the weather, something that irritated Erin Andrews.

On their podcast “Calm Down,” Andrews recounted the moment: “There are no better plus ones to bring to a Super Bowl than Steven Cundari and Jarret Stoll. You can leave them on Bourbon Street, French Quarter, Memphis, Tennessee. They’ll find their way back, and they run along.” Co-host Charissa Thompson chimed in, adding: “A ditch in Antarctica.”

She then recalled recalled the night’s events:

“Saturday night, Chris and I go to bed. Jarret and the plus ones, all the wives of the talent, then go to a big FOX party. Zach Brown performed. Jarret gets in probably about three. I was like, where did you guys go? And he goes back to the bar with the plus ones, all the wives.”

Erin Andrews then recounted how her husband was sound asleep on the morning of the Super Bowl.

“I am walking around at 8 a.m. with a flashlight as he’s sawing logs and smells like the Four Seasons bar. God forbid, as I’m packing my shapewear and my supplements to go to the Super Bowl. This —- is passed out. I mean, as he was the day before, too.”

The Fox Sports NFL sideline reporter explained that her husband, Jarret Stoll, would prefer if they lived a private life.

“My husband would rather we not be so public — me not be so public,” Andrews, 46, told Success magazine in an interview published last month.

Andrews spoke openly about her beginning her seventh round of IVF in 2021.

“He was just like, ‘Why do we have to say this?’” Andrews recalled Stoll saying at the time. “And I said, ‘Because these waiting rooms are packed.’”

Fans are praying for Atlanta Dream star and WNBA icon Brittney Griner following news of a disturbing incident at her hotel room.

As first reported by TMZ Sports, Griner was set to speak at a Women Grow Leadership Summit in National Harbor, Maryland on Monday. However, Griner canceled her appearance and left after receiving a disturbing and threatening message in her hotel room.

Brittney Griner came across a piece of duct tape in the room with the message, “Gay Baby Jail.” The future Hall of Famer came out in 2013 and has been married to her wife, Cherelle, since 2019.

Per TMZ Sports, Prince George’s County Police Department believes that the note was a coincidence. They shared the following statement on the matter:

“Detectives have learned the phrase ‘gay baby jail’ is commonly used as a video game reference. At the time the tape was located, a large convention was taking place at the Gaylord which attracts thousands of people, many with an interest in anime as well as video game enthusiasts. At this time, detectives have uncovered no link to or threat against the guest who located the tape.”

Rhea Ripley’s “ex” recently shared that the 28-year-old was upset about her WWE departure. Ripley will be defending her Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY on the RAW following Elimination Chamber 2025.

The Eradicator and WWE interviewer Cathy Kelley have had a humorous online relationship in the past and have pretended to be a couple. Kelley departed the company in 2020 but made her return a couple of years later.

A fan on social media shared a clip of Ripley giving the interviewer attitude five years ago, and Kelley responded with an interesting comment. She claimed that Ripley was mad at her because she had announced she was leaving the company a week before the interview took place.

Bill Apter comments on Rhea Ripley’s upcoming title defense on WWE RAW

Wrestling veteran Bill Apter recently shared his thoughts on the Women’s World Championship match between Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY scheduled for the RAW after Elimination Chamber.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Smack Talk show, Apter predicted that Ripley would retain the title, but the match would serve as a showcase for IYO SKY next month. He also noted that it was a good strategy by WWE to have big matches on RAW to get people to tune in on Netflix.

“I think it’s a great idea to draw people to Netflix, trying to keep that Netflix audience coming back every week for something special and my prediction is Rhea retains the belt in what will be an excellent match that will showcase IYO SKY more so than Rhea Ripley.” [6:55 – 7:15]

Logan Paul and the WWE Universe have a strong love-hate relationship. The industry has acknowledged how quickly the social media star learned to wrestle on a higher level, and he has been pushed as a top talent by Triple H. Paul has done himself no favors with his latest viral jabs at the WWE fanbase.

The Maverick was a heel long before he began his wrestling career. Paul is currently a top villain on RAW who gained more heat after defeating Rey Mysterio in Monday’s Elimination Chamber qualifier, right after a tense in-ring exchange with CM Punk. An ongoing debacle with a popular WWE couple is also doing damage. Logan officially debuted inside the Elimination Chamber last year and will return to the brutal structure in less than two weeks.

Michael Cole went viral earlier this week due to his chat with Paul on the Impaulsive podcast after making shocking statements about Vince McMahon. A later discussion saw Cole comment on the heel dynamic being fun, adding that he believes the WWE Universe is too sophisticated for some directions these days. Paul asked Cole if he was sure about that, and The Voice of WWE stood firm. The Ultimate Influencer then proceeded to bash the fans.

Rhea Ripley will defend her Women’s World Championship against the Women’s Elimination Chamber winner at WrestleMania 41 if she can retain over IYO SKY at RAW on March 3. The winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber will challenge Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

At “WWE NXT” Vengeance Day, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Fallon Henley to claim the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Three days later, she now has her first challenger in sight.

Jaida Parker, Karmen Petrovic, and Kelani Jordan battled in tonight’s “NXT” opening match, with a future Women’s North American Championship title shot on the line. At one point, Parker appeared to be closing in on victory by nailing Jordan with a corner springboard seated senton. When she turned away to gloat, however, Ashante “Thee” Adonis rolled Petrovic back into the ring, allowing her to gain the pinfall on Jordan. The action didn’t stop there, though.

Following Petrovic’s win, the personal animosity between Jordan and Parker continued with a ringside brawl. Meanwhile, the trio of Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx, and Jacy Jayne launched a post-match attack on Petrovic and Adonis, with Jayne slamming a chair into the spine of the latter. When Fatal Influence then mocked Petrovic, Vaquer and NXT Women’s Champion Giulia made their way down to the ring, only to suffer the same fate. Seeing this, WWE’s newest female signee Jordynne Grace charged down to help Giulia and Vaquer fend off the trio, after which she issued a challenge for a three-on-three fight.

As of now, there is no word on when Petrovic will challenge Vaquer for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Nevertheless, it will mark her first televised “NXT” title match. Last year, she fell to Jordynne Grace in a match for the TNA Knockouts Championship on “TNA iMPACT.”

From the early 2010s to late 2021, there were fewer brands in professional wrestling more forward thinking than NXT. Originally helmed by Triple H and the late Dusty Rhodes, the former FCW would be retooled into a new brand with a simple mission: prepare the next generation of WWE main eventers for the likes of “Raw” and “SmackDown.” As the brand kept building steam, hardcore internet fans would soon swarm like flies to the WWE Network’s then-best kept secret. Soon enough the phrase “We Are NXT” became a battle cry for an ever growing section of the wrestling fandom.

For much of the 2010s, when a new face arrived on the main roster, it was directly from the black and yellow brand. Sadly, not every experiment from NXT resulted in a new megastar — and sometimes it was exactly the opposite. Whether it was their behavior or WWE’s main roster creative hindering them, not every wrestler successfully transitioned to prime time. These are six of the best and six worst call ups from the original NXT brand.

If ever a name brought both prestige and controversy in equal measure, it’s Flair. Charlotte — the daughter of Hall of Famer Ric Flair — first debuted for the WWE back in 2012. She quickly established a name for herself as part of the steadily building NXT brand. Over the next few years, Charlotte would slowly rise to dominance on the black and yellow brand, forging her own path in the ring. The self proclaimed queen of the ring would serve as one the key pillars in the late 2010s women’s revolution.

After a very successful tenure in NXT, the now former NXT Women’s Champion would officially join the main roster partway through 2015. After some moderately unstable booking at the start of her prime time tenure, the second generation superstar broke out big time. It wasn’t too long before she had claimed the (now defunct) Diva’s Championship and, later on, the Women’s Championship. It would be fair to say that the reaction towards Charlotte has become divisive in recent years, but her work rate has never been in doubt. In terms of overall accomplishments and presentation, very few wrestlers have made the progress and strides that Charlotte Flair has.

Few talent arrived with so much momentum and squandered it as quickly as Nia Jax. Making her debut on NXT only a short while after being signed, Jax dominated the women’s division. She would feud with the likes of Bayley and Asuka, challenging both for the Women’s Title during their respective reigns. Her tenure in NXT would end as quickly as it began, with Jax being bumped up to “Raw” in 2016. Despite a few solid matchups and a Raw Women’s Title reign, this is where problems would begin to rear their ugly head for Jax.

From injuring Bayley’s shoulder to busting Becky Lynch’s nose open to injuring Kairi Sane’s head, Jax developed a reputation for being an unsafe worker. With almost no sign of improvement in terms of protecting her opponents, the audience’s goodwill for Jax ran out very quickly. Following a Women’s Tag Title run and few assorted storylines, she would get released from the company in November 2021.

Best: Sasha Banks

The WWE’s self-proclaimed Boss has been turning heads in and out of the ring since her arrival in the early 2010s. As one of the NXT women’s division’s formative talents, Sasha Banks would quickly establish a rep for herself on the black and yellow brand. From her unapologetically blunt heel persona to her impeccable in-ring abilities, Banks would quickly become a fan favorite. Her match with Bayley at the first “NXT Takeover: Brooklyn” would be a match of the year contender for many.

Following her arrival on the main roster in 2015, Banks would be a part of Team B.A.D. alongside Tamina and Naomi. Soon enough, Banks would claim the Raw Women’s Championship for the first of what would be many times. She has bounced back and forth between heel and face, excelling at both in equal measure, garnering a legion of fans. Her popularity has reached such a mainstream level that she even appeared in the second season of “The Mandalorian.” Following one final run as Smackdown Women’s Champion, Banks would soon move to the tag team division. She won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships for the second time in her career with her old Team B.A.D. teammate Naomi at WrestleMania 38.

Worst: The Ascension

For a prime example of “how exactly did you mess this up,” we have Viktor and Connor, the Ascension. Beginning life in FCW, the Ascension started life with several members, including Conor O’Brian, Kenneth Cameron, Ricardo Rodriguez, Tito Colon, and Raquel Diaz. Eventually this unit would be whittled down to just Conor O’Brian and Rick Victor, who would be rebranded as Konnor and Viktor. The duo would soon become NXT’s resident powerhouse tag team, destroying lower level talent and local jobbers. This resulted in a lofty 362 day reign as NXT Tag Team Champions before losing to the Lucha Dragons in 2014.

The Ascension would be moved up to the main roster later that year, souped up with a brand new look. However, this Legion of Doom-influenced design would serve as an omen of what was to come for the once dominant tag team, with commentator JBL verbally burying them every week. Soon enough, the team that dominated NXT for years was being jobbed out to the New Age Outlaws and the APA. At the tail end of 2019, both Konnor and Viktor would see their time in WWE conclude via simultaneous releases.

Mickie James wishes she could have said under the learning tree of Sherri Martel and Randy Savage.

Mickie James is currently one of the coaches on WWE LFG on A&E. As part of the show, she takes young WWE Performance Center prospects under her way, along with the other coaches, Bubba Ray Dudley, Undertaker, and Booker T.

While speaking to Going Ringside in a recent interview, Mickie James was asked about legends she wishes she could have crossed paths with or learned from. The former WWE Women’s Champion named “Macho Man” Randy Savage and “The Sensational Queen” Sherri.

“If I could coach one legend… Wow. Oh my gosh. I would say, I would have loved to… Sensational Sherri, as far as women go, was my all-time favorite. Her and ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, as far as men go. If I could have sat underneath their learning tree, if I could have just been in the same space and time to have shared any sort of moment of wrestling with them, I would have…I would have lost my mind. I think I would have, I would have been a complete fangirl. It would have been embarrassing, but it’s fine. I would have been okay with it.”
