Social Media Detectives Uncovered Perfectly-Timed Video That Proves Just How Much Angel Reese Hates Caitlin Clark’s Guts

Social media detectives spotted a perfectly timed video of Angel Reese looking jealous and bitter after Caitlin Clark drilled a three-pointer in Saturday’s season opener.

The rivalry between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark dates back to the 2023 women’s basketball national championship game. There, Reese taunted Clark with John Cena’s signature “you can’t see me” gesture after leading the LSU Tigers to a blowout win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The WNBA treated its fans to a season opener between Reese’s Chicago Sky and Clark’s Indiana Fever. Though the Fever won a lopsided affair 93-58, there was plenty of drama on the Reese-Clark rivalry front.

During the third quarter, Clark was hit with a flagrant foul on Reese to stop her from making an easy basket. Reese went over to confront Clark, but was quickly restrained.

At another point of the game, fans on social media noticed Angel Reese’s bitter reaction to Caitlin Clark making a three-pointer in the blowout win. Have a look at this money shot from the ESPN cameras:

While Clark has avoided public trash talk (and taunting, for that matter), Reese has done her part in stirring up the one-on-one rivalry. Don’t forget that last year, a frustrated Reese told reporters that people aren’t just watching women’s basketball because of one person (Clark), but because of her as well.

When a reporter asked Reese about this comment ahead of last week’s season opener, she said “Next question.”

Reese’s Sky and Clark’s Fever are scheduled to meet four more times during the 2025 regular season. The good news for basketball fans is that they won’t have to wait too long for the next showdown, with Chicago set to host Indiana on June 7.

Social media lip readers think they caught Caitlin Clark’s powerful five-word message to Rhyne Howard during Thursday’s intense contest between the Indiana Fever and Atlanta Dream.

Late in the first quarter of their contest in Atlanta, Rhyne Howard was issued a personal foul after bumping Caitlin Clark at midcourt. The two were quickly restrained before things escalated any further.

After things cooled down, a composed Caitlin Clark glared over at Howard and appeared to tell her, “I’m not scared of you.”

At any rate, Caitlin Clark and the Fever got the last laugh by winning 81-76 to split the home-and-home. Clark struggled from the field (4-of-11), finishing with 11 points, four rebounds and six assists in the victory.

Rhyne Howard led the Dream with 24 points to go along with five assists, two rebounds and a pair of steals. Fever star Natasha Howard finished with a game-high 26 points, seven rebounds and two assists.

Atlanta won Tuesday’s meeting, the first of the home-and-home, 91-90. Howard had 20 points in that contest, with Clark posting 27 points, five rebounds and 11 assists in a losing effort.

Indiana will return home to host the New York Liberty on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. EST. That same day, the Dream will aim to get back to .500 when they host the Dallas Wings at 3:30 p.m. EST.

Their fourth and final regular-season meeting is set for July 11 at 7:30 p.m. EST.

If you thought things got tense between Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark in Saturday’s season opener, wait until you see what happened in tonight’s game between the Atlanta Dream and Indiana Fever.

In the opener, Caitlin Clark received a flagrant foul after preventing Angel Reese from scoring an easy basket. Reese went over to confront her longtime rival, but things didn’t get physical there.

But in tonight’s game between the Fever and Dream, Clark was involved in an even more heated altercation with an opponent. Late in the first quarter, Howard bumped Clark near midcourt while playing defense, leading to some exchanged words:

Howard was issued a personal foul on the play. After things settled down, Clark appeared to say, “I’m not scared of you” with a smirk:

Thursday’s clash marked the second of a home-and-home between the Fever and Dream. On Tuesday, Rhyne Howard recorded 20 points, two rebounds and three assists to lead Atlanta to a close 91-90 victory.

One of the main storylines during the 2024 WNBA season was the blatant physicality opposing teams committed on Clark, hoping to rough up and agitate the rookie. Clark was oftentimes frustrated, but it didn’t affect her all-world season stat line as she cruised to Rookie of the Year honors.

All Clark can do is learn to embrace what opposing teams are trying to do to her. The referees aren’t going to get every call right, but Clark will continue to draw fouls and give her team more opportunities if she maintains her composure and doesn’t fight back.

Then again, it would help if some of the Fever’s stronger players could step in and protect Clark when necessary. She’s one of the smaller players on the court and shouldn’t have to deal with all that physicality on her own.

BREAKING: Angel Reese Says “They Don’t Respect Me Because I’m Black” In Tearful Interview, Retirement On The Table

Angel Reese Cries After Finding Out She's An All-Star, So Many Doubted Me!

“They Don’t Respect Me Just Because I’m Black”: The Night Angel Reese Broke – And The WNBA’s Deafening Silence

The fluorescent lights in the hallway hummed with an indifferent chill as Angel Reese sat alone, elbows resting on her knees, her gaze locked on a battered white index card she’d been nervously folding and unfolding for minutes. The card, handed to her by a staffer as a “light” prep question before her postgame interview, felt heavier than any championship trophy. “Do you feel supported by the league?” it read. Angel didn’t need to flip it over again—she already knew the answer, and the weight of that knowledge pressed down on her shoulders like the cold, sterile air that surrounded her. In the adjacent press room, the usual bustle of camera crews, producers, and league representatives filled the space with a muted energy, but where Angel sat, there was only silence—a silence that seemed to echo the growing sense of isolation she had felt since her rookie season began.

Angel Reese Deletes Instagram Following Outfit Controversy

For much of her life, Angel Reese believed that strength was measured by silence, by keeping her head down and letting her performance speak for itself. She had learned to grind through adversity, to let her stats answer the doubters, but no number on a scoreboard could quiet the constant background hum of criticism. The applause that greeted her on draft night had faded, replaced by a chorus of voices that rarely mentioned her game but always found fault with her demeanor. She was told she smiled too little, celebrated too loudly, didn’t “carry herself like a professional.” Every week, the spotlight grew more intense, not because of its brightness, but because of its icy scrutiny. The pressure was familiar; the feeling of being dissected by the very league that once cheered her was not.

The postgame interview was supposed to be routine, a standard three-question affair, but on this night, something shifted. When a young reporter asked what it was like adjusting to the league’s expectations, Angel paused. The question wasn’t hostile, but it landed with a weight she hadn’t anticipated. Perhaps it was the sting of being called “a liability” by a courtside commentator just minutes earlier, or the cold shoulder from a teammate in the locker room, or maybe it was the exhaustion from reading yet another wave of anonymous online comments dismissing her as “overrated” despite her impressive stats. Her hands trembled as she answered, “I’m constantly being judged, nitpicked, and questioned… I’m human. I’m trying to be strong. But this… this is breaking me.” Then, almost as if the words escaped on their own, she added quietly, “They don’t respect me… just because I’m Black.” The room froze. No one moved, no one spoke—the rawness of her admission hung in the air, shattering the carefully constructed veneer of professionalism that usually governed such moments.

Within half an hour, the unedited clip was everywhere on social media. The footage, stripped of music or graphics, showed only Angel Reese, vulnerable and unguarded, uttering five words that would ignite a firestorm across the sports world. Support poured in from fans who saw themselves in her struggle, who cheered, “She said it. Finally,” and “You’re not alone, Angel.” But just as quickly came the backlash, with critics accusing her of “playing the race card” and telling her to “focus on her shooting percentage.” A former analyst went live on Instagram, insisting that “everything can’t be about race,” and his comments sparked yet another round of heated debate online.

The WNBA, for its part, responded with a silence that was as calculated as it was conspicuous. There was no official statement, no tweet of support, not even a retweet of Angel’s original interview. Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark, another rising star, trended on social media—not for what she said, but for what she didn’t say. When asked about Angel’s comments, Clark offered a neutral, almost clinical response: “Mental health matters. I want everyone in the league to feel supported. That’s what’s important.” Some praised her professionalism, while others criticized her for not mentioning Angel by name, reading her distance as a sign of the league’s broader discomfort with the issue.

Behind closed doors, league executives scrambled to manage the fallout. Angel’s agent fielded a barrage of media requests, while marketing directors and communications strategists debated whether to protect her or distance the league from her remarks. “Is she going to apologize?” one executive asked. “No,” her agent replied. “She meant every word.” The indecision was palpable, and Angel would later reflect that the league’s silence was the most honest response of all—it said everything about who was truly supported and who was left to navigate the storm alone.

Angel Reese’s words were not new; they were simply undeniable. For years, confident Black women in sports have been told to shrink themselves to fit the frame, to smile wider, celebrate softer, and never make anyone uncomfortable. Angel refused to shrink, refused to soften, and in doing so, made people nervous in ways that no stat line ever could. That night, in her dark hotel room, the white index card still sat on her nightstand. She picked up a pen and wrote a single word beneath the question: “No.” Then she folded the card and slipped it into her duffel bag—not as a memento of pain, but as a marker of the moment she stopped pretending.

The morning after, the WNBA’s social media team met early, watching as #AngelReese, #TheyDontRespectMe, and #MentalHealthMatters trended across platforms. Engagement was up 400%, and Angel’s raw confession had amassed over ten million views overnight. Yet, as team members debated whether to issue a statement or wait and see, the decision was made to “monitor” the situation. No post, no response—just silence. Angel noticed. She didn’t expect a tribute, but she understood what silence meant in this industry. She had seen it before.

Angel Reese shares TikTok trolling 'white girl' Caitlin Clark as bitter WNBA rivalry intensifies | Daily Mail Online

In the days that followed, something remarkable happened. Players from other teams began posting black-and-white selfies without captions; some reposted Angel’s quote. A veteran guard wrote, “Every time we speak up, they ask us to calm down. But silence isn’t peace. It’s pressure.” The league never acknowledged these acts of solidarity, but fans did, sharing them by the millions. The message had already escaped the filter.

Angel returned to practice the next day, her expression unreadable, her focus unbroken. When asked about the surge in followers and engagement, she simply replied, “I’m not here for clicks,” before lacing up her sneakers and hitting the court. Somewhere in her duffel bag, tucked between tape and towels, the creased white index card remained—unreadable to anyone but her, a quiet testament to the strength that comes not from shouting, but from refusing to disappear.

Because, in the end, that’s what people often forget about real strength: it doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it simply endures—quietly, unapologetically, and unmovable. Not because it is welcomed, but because it refuses to leave.

Caitlin Clark did not have a Caitlin Clark-type night on Thursday, scoring just 11 points in the Indiana Fever’s win over the Atlanta Dream. But she was putting up All-Star numbers in pregame as her fit had everyone talking.

Clark, who added four rebounds and six assists in 32 minutes on the floor for Indiana, pulled up to the game in a trench coat, but she still showed off quite a bit, given that she also had a very short skirt on, while her stomach was also visible.

While there were plenty of State Farm jokes flying around, Clark received plenty of compliments, some too thirsty to highlight.

Check her out in the video below:

“Caitlin Clark dressed like she works for State Farm,” one account posted.

“Cait from State Farm can bundle home & auto insurance with her bush,” another echoed.

“Wait hold cause if she was little bit more confident with the fit 👀. Idk yall is this a safe space,” someone wrote.

    “Smoke Show,” declared another.

“She has great legs,” someone else observed.

“Aye… hear me out,” one fan wrote.

    “thick vanilla milkshake,” another offered.

It was pretty fitting for Clark that the game was played at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Maybe this was not coincidental.

Meanwhile, the Fever improved to 2-1 on the season with an 81-76 win. While it was a hotly contested affair, Indiana pulled away slightly in the fourth quarter.

Kelsel Mitchell hit a big step-back three late on to help the Fever close things out.

Aliyah Boston scored the bucket that sealed the deal, finishing a layup off an assist from Clark in the final seconds.

    In this story:

As the Atlanta Dream try to pick up their second win over the Indiana Fever in three days Thursday, their plan was to let anyone but Caitlin Clark beat them. Atlanta Dream star guard Rhyne Howard stoutly defended Clark off the ball, limiting her touches and subsequent ability to get the Fever offense flowing.

Tensions boiled for a quick moment between the two stars late in the first quarter as the Fever traveled to Atlanta to play the Dream Thursday. As Clark brought the ball just across half court, Howard was called for a common foul as she pressured Clark, which led to a bump and brief exchange.

The moment was a whole lot of nothing, as it resulted in a common foul, a heated moment between the two competitive stars and then play continuing on.

Lip readers were immediately all over the moment, as Howard appeared to say “try it” to Clark after the Fever star bumped her, to which Clark appeared to respond, “I’m not scared of you.”

All in the spirit of competition.

The Dream beat the Fever in Indiana Tuesday in a close 91–90 game as the Fever couldn’t convert on a game-winning shot opportunity in the final seconds. Clark led Indiana with 27 points and 11 assists. Atlanta did everything possible to limit Clark to start the rematch Thursday, holding her to four points and three assists in the first half.

BAD NEWS For Angel Reese & Sky Fans: Hailey Van Lith Decision Leaves Everyone Shocked

The Sky is in desperate need of immediate victories

The future of the WNBA may be at stake.

The Chicago Sky started the 2025 WNBA season with a painful loss to the Indiana Fever, falling 93-58 in their opening game last Saturday.

This initial setback has highlighted the team’s difficulties, both on the court and in the locker room, where the atmosphere is less than ideal.

Angel Reese demonstrated her great abilities by contributing 12 points and 17 rebounds. The Sky star rose to the occasion, and she has nothing to reproach herself for.

Realistically, however, that was the only good thing about Chicago‘s game.

Game Recap: Sparks vs. Mercury (5/21/2025)

The fans don’t want to waste any time and have identified the player who can save this disastrous start to the season: Hailey Van Lith. She has little experience, but the fans believe she has what it takes to turn the Sky around.

They want Hailey Van Lith to get a chance

The rookie made a brief but effective impression, scoring four points in just four minutes during the closing stages of last week’s game. She has the ability to earn a place on the team.

However, Coach Marsh does not yet see Van Lith playing an important role on the Chicago team.

“We’ll see as the game approaches. We’ve loved Hailey’s progress in the three weeks we’ve been together. She’s continued to soak up knowledge from our staff and Courtney. We expect great things from her.”

Many Chicago fans were upset by this response because they think she is ready. But we must keep in mind that she is just starting her career and will soon show all her talent on the court, earning a well-deserved spot in the Sky lineup.

We should keep an eye on her game against New York, where Hailey Van Lith will gradually steal the spotlight. It’s important to take this process one step at a time, as she’s gaining recognition for her talent.

However, this confidence has recently caused her some trouble, as NBA fans criticized her for a recent statement she made.

In a recent episode of the “Roommates” show, Wilson stunned both the NBA and WNBA by claiming that she could defeat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a one-on-one matchup. Additionally, she predicted that the final score would be 11-8.

“Score would be 11-8, me. I’m not saying you gonna go scoreless, 8 to 11 is pretty solid. So, what do you think it’ll be, Josh?” Wilson said.

Although Josh and Wilson both had a good laugh during their conversation, Wilson’s comment stirred up the basketball community. “She’d lose 11-0 w him only playing w his offhand,” one fan said.

Sophie Cunningham didn’t ask for this kind of attention. Just weeks after joining the Indiana Fever, the 28-year-old guard found herself at the center of a firestorm. A lawsuit involving her former team, the Phoenix Suns, dragged her name into a deeply personal accusation, one she firmly denies.

Former Suns director of safety, Gene Traylor, filed the lawsuit. He accused Suns executive Cornelius Craig of spreading a damaging rumor about Cunningham. According to court documents, Craig told others that Suns CEO Josh Bartelstein was “f—— Sophie Cunningham.” Traylor included the claim in a legal complaint against the organization but admitted he had never met Cunningham himself.

Cunningham didn’t stay silent. On Wednesday, May 21, she released a statement on social media and addressed the situation head-on.

“I am deeply saddened by the recent false accusations made against me by Gene Traylor, someone I do not know and have never met,” she wrote on X. “Let me be clear: his statements are untrue and extremely hurtful.”

She called out several media outlets for running with the story without contacting her for a response. “In this instance, it feels irresponsible that I was never asked for a comment about the accusation before several clickbait stories went to print,” she said.

Cunningham made it clear she plans to stay focused on her game, her team, and her supporters. “I will not let untrue gossip take my focus away from what is most important to me, which is basketball, my supportive team and my fans,” she added.

Fans wasted no time showing their support. One wrote, “Love you Sophie — seems they are all trying to take the Fever down.”

Another pointed to the lack of support from the league, saying, “WNBA media coverage is unfortunately utter trash. So sorry that this happened to you. Much love”

“I’m so sorry this is happening to you, Sophie,” a fan commented.

Cunningham missed the Fever’s season opener against the Sky and Tuesday night’s matchup with the Atlanta Dream due to injury. The team expects her back soon. In the meantime, fans continue to stand behind her, not just as a player, but as a person navigating an unfair spotlight.

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is not the most popular guy on TV. That much was apparent while he was calling the Wild Card game between the Broncos and Bills for CBS on Sunday.

Romo, who has done very little to hide how much he admires Buffalo QB Josh Allen, had some praise for the MVP favorite while he was attempting to take his team to the Divisional Round.

Some fans felt like he was being overly gracious, while some simply couldn’t stand him talking in general.

“STFU AGAIN ROMO!!!!!!!!! I’M TIRED OF YOUR BILLS AND CHIEFS GLAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU’RE SICKENING ASF!!!!!!!!!!” an X user wrote.

“Can we start a petition to ban Romo from calling games,” another asked.

“Can Tony Romo get off his kneees for Josh Allen?” someone else chimed in.

“Tv muted when romo starts talking,” a fan claimed.

Tony Romo’s Partner Reached Impressive Milestone

While Romo was getting slammed, his broadcast colleague touched an impressive milestone.

Jim Nantz has been with CBS for over 40 years and reached his 500th game with the network calling Sunday’s fixture.

Nantz and Romo have been working together for seven of those 40 years.

Caitlin Clark Finally Answers The Question About Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Showing Up Courtside (VIDEO)

The WNBA star has become fond friends with Swift in recent months

    Caitlin Clark

Caitlin Clark has already begun to make history on the court with the Indiana Fever, but her connections off the court, particularly with global music icon Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, have also generated considerable attention. So will the iconic couple head to the WNBA to watch her?

The 24-year-old’s meteoric rise in basketball has been one of the most closely followed stories in sports and the star has already claimed a new record in 2025 by becoming the first WNBA player to put up at least 25 points and 10 assists on more than five occasions.

It was her sixth game out of just 42 and it saw her eclipse Sabrina Ionescu to claim the honor, meaning Clark is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down as she chases her first ever championship.

Yet this time, eyes turn to her celebrity friends as fans ponder whether Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce will head to the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to watch her compete. And now the Fever sensation has an answer.

Game Recap: Sky vs. Fever (5/17/25)

“Oh, gosh. I don’t know. I mean, I hope so,” Clark said to USA Today. “They’re on a nice ‘in-vacation mode’ right now.

“So, I hope they enjoy a nice little break out of the spotlight. But, I’m sure they’ll be cheering for the Fever either way.”

The relationship between the two women first caught national interest during the 2025 NFL playoffs, when the WNBA ace was seen alongside the pop star at a Chiefs divisional round matchup.

The then-defending champions defeated the Houston Texans that day, but much of the social media buzz revolved around them sharing a suite and enjoying the game together.

However, their paths crossed long before that appearance at the Arrowhead Stadium as Kelce revealed the two met at Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Indianapolis back in November when it stopped at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

“Saw Caitlin Clark there,” Kelce said in November. “Got to meet Caitlin. She’s awesome. She loves being out there in Indianapolis. Says it’s a fun city.

“And we’re both just true Midwesterners to the heart. You know, played high school ball, college ball, pro ball, all out here in the Midwest, and it was cool catching up with her.”

Their good-natured acquaintance isn’t just one way traffic on the end of Clark either. The 35-year-old Grammy-winning singer previously made clear her admiration for the Fever talent and sent her several bags of merchandise from her tour along with a handwritten message.

Who do the Fever play next?

The Fevers won their opener against the Chicago Sky before coming undone against the Atlanta Dream on May 20 so they will be keen to put the first loss of the season behind them.

They will next look to do so on Thursday, May 22 when they take on the Dream again at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Tip-off is from 19:30 ET/16:30 PT.

  • The Entire Internet Turned On Hailey Van Lith After Disrespecting Caitlin Clark In Viral Interview

The Entire Internet Turned On Hailey Van Lith After Disrespecting Caitlin Clark In Viral Interview

Hailey Van Lith LOSES SPONSORS After DISRESPECTING Caitlin Clark During Interview

The Draft Night Disaster: How Hailey Van Lith Went From WNBA Darling to PR Nightmare in 60 Seconds

The 2025 WNBA Draft was supposed to be Hailey Van Lith’s big night. The ESPN cameras were rolling, the crowd was buzzing at Hudson Yards, and Van Lith—picked 11th overall—looked set for superstardom.

But then she opened her mouth, and everything changed.

During a lighthearted “Start, Bench, Cut” segment, Van Lith was asked to choose between Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, and Caitlin Clark. Most rookies would dodge controversy. Not Hailey.

“I’d start Diana, bench Sabrina… and cut Caitlin,” she said, cool as ice.

The room? Dead silent. Social media? Exploded.

Ten minutes later, #CutCaitlin was everywhere. In half an hour, #HaileyOut was trending even harder.

    Sponsors Bail—Fast

It didn’t take long for the fallout to hit Hailey’s bank account. Within 72 hours, two major sponsors pressed pause. GatorEdge yanked all ads featuring Van Lith—some already in the can. FootRun Apparel shelved a hyped sneaker collab, indefinitely.

“She went from franchise face to PR hazard in under a minute,” one brand manager told Total Pro Sports. “You don’t diss Caitlin Clark and expect to get away with it.”

One marketing analyst put Van Lith’s losses at $500,000—gone overnight.

What did Hailey Van Lith say about Caitlin Clark? Exploring hilarious interaction between WBB stars

Why Cutting Caitlin Was a Career Killer

Caitlin Clark isn’t just another rookie—she’s the WNBA’s ticket-selling, record-breaking, ratings-boosting machine. Her Indiana Fever games are sellouts. She’s smashing TV ratings. She’s single-handedly responsible for 25% of the league’s merch sales.

To “cut” Clark—even as a joke—wasn’t edgy. It was business suicide.

“She didn’t just insult a player,” a WNBA exec told TPS. “She insulted the league’s biggest asset.”

    Clark’s Response? Silence—and Domination

While Van Lith’s comments went viral, Clark didn’t take the bait. No tweets. No drama. Just a sly smirk caught on camera—classic Clark.

When asked about the drama, Clark brushed it off: “I’m focused on helping my team win.” And then she did—dropping 28 points, 8 assists, and 5 boards in her first preseason game. Van Lith? Still fighting for minutes.

Locker Room Vibes: Support Fades Fast

Van Lith always had a reputation for being confident—maybe too confident. After the draft, that confidence looked a lot like arrogance. WNBA vets unfollowed her. A scout called her “a locker room variable.” Even Angel Reese, her old LSU teammate, stayed quiet.

Sue Bird weighed in, too: “There’s a difference between competitive edge and public ego. Fans know the difference.”

    Brianna Turner Picks a Side

If you want proof Van Lith is losing the locker room, look at Brianna Turner. Once part of the Reese-Van Lith crew, Turner was spotted working out with—who else?—Caitlin Clark. The internet dubbed them “the real power duo.” Turner even praised Clark’s leadership on and off the court.

Reese? She posted a cryptic Instagram: “Loyalty hits different when it’s tested.”

WNBA rookie Hailey Van Lith slammed for 'disrespecting' Caitlin Clark at draft amid rivals' tense history | Daily Mail Online

    Sponsors: No Thanks

A leaked FootRun report showed Van Lith’s audience sentiment nosedived—down 33% in a week. GatorEdge said they’re “reevaluating partnerships in alignment with our values.” Translation: No drama rookies allowed.

    Clark’s Numbers: Brutal Comparison

Indiana Fever 2024 home attendance: 341,000+ (record)
Chicago Sky with Reese & Van Lith: zero sellouts at Wintrust Arena
Fever games moved to bigger arenas in six cities—including Chicago

Clark’s games are selling out. Van Lith’s? Not even close.

    One Rookie Mistake, Veteran Consequences

Van Lith could’ve kept her head down, earned her spot, and let her game do the talking. Instead, she tried to start a rivalry with the league’s biggest star. Big mistake.

“She came in like she was the star,” a league insider told TPS. “She forgot the league already has one.”

    The Ego Era Is Over

Women’s basketball is changing. The days of “main character syndrome” are done. Clark is all business—humble, relentless, lethal. While others talk, she trains. On her birthday? Clark went 50-for-54 from deep. No cameras. No drama. Just buckets.

    Redemption or Ruin?

The Sky face the Fever in the season opener—already dubbed “The Redemption Game.” For Van Lith, it’s do-or-die. Every play will be under the microscope. One misstep, and the backlash returns. One great game, and maybe she gets a second chance.

    But don’t count on it.

    Final Take

Hailey Van Lith wanted to start a rivalry. Instead, she started a PR firestorm—and cut herself out of the WNBA’s golden story. While she scrambles to rebuild, Clark just keeps winning, filling arenas, and changing the game—one silent, unstoppable shot at a time.
