Carrie Underwood might be losing some fans since the announcement that she will perform at President Trump’s inauguration on January 20th, but other fans are thrilled to hear this news.

It’s no secret that the political climate is tense right now. Even after the election, tensions are higher than they’ve ever been in my lifetime between the two parties as the inauguration nears. Yesterday, it was announced that Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, and other artists would perform during the inauguration or other portions of the festivities.

The public knows Jason Aldean’s political stance and that he is an acquaintance of Trump, which is not surprising. However, given that Underwood has never been outright about her political stance, some fans were shocked to see her name on the program.

Cue up the Trump haters, who are now vowing to boycott her music…

Underwood is beyond thrilled despite the blowback from fans who do not support her for performing at this inauguration. After it was shared on social media, she was performing; she released a statement to note how excited she was and what an honor it was to be asked to perform.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

While Underwood often performs at her Nashville church, her husband made his political alignment known during COVID when he shared that he stood with Aaron Rogers and his choice not to wear a mask.

However, some country music fans are completely forgetting that Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley poked fun at Obamacare at the 2013 CMA Awards. Now, I’m not saying this is a full tell-all about Underwood’s political alignment, and that corny humor is par for the course at all awards shows, but you have to imagine this kind of joke wouldn’t fly these days. Of course, Paisley is a well-known Democrat these days.

In the skit, Paisley injures himself, and Carrie Underwood jokes that he should go to the Obamacare website for help. It’s so easy because she started her application a week ago and was almost complete.

“I started signing up last Thursday and I’m almost done!”

The two then fired up a special rendition of George Strait’s “Amarillo By Morning” but changed the words to create “Obamacare By Morning.”

    “Obamacare by morning
Why is this takin’ so long?
I’m gonna wind up with hemorrhoids
If I sit here ‘til dawn
    We’ll have cataracts and dementia
Oh this is gettin’ on my last nerve
    Obamacare by morning
    Over six people served.”

Underwood and Paisley both resisted laughter during the skit and the audience, including George Strait, enjoyed the performance.

While not everything in the world needs to be a political statement, I am sure that her accepting the soon-to-be President’s invitation to perform felt like a call to perform for the great country she calls home- no matter who was being inaugurated.

Regardless, if you’re upset that she accepted this invitation, you might have been separating art from artists for much longer than you realized.

Someone Created An Embarrassing 8-Minute Video Of Angel Reese Missing An Easy Amount Of Layups That Increasingly Get More Ridiculous & Social Media Is Losing It

Angel Reese Missing Easy Amount Of LayupsAngel Reese (Photos via @BricksCenter)
A fan put together a stunning video showing Chicago Sky star Angel Reese missing plenty of easy layups over the first 23 games of her rookie 2024 WNBA season.

Angel Reese has been one of the top WNBA rookies in 2024, averaging 13.5 points, 12 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. But there’s undoubtedly room for improvement on her shooting, as she holds a 40.2 percent field goal percentage.

The @BricksCenter X/Twitter account posted a video of Reese missing an alarming amount of layups throughout her ongoing rookie campaign. The video has quickly gone viral, with over 5.9 million viewers alone on the platform.

As the video progresses, the layups look much more routine and should be easy points for Reese, but the 22-year-old somehow keeps missing:

A player with Reese’s talent level can only get better from here. Still, there’s no telling how better her stats would be if Reese made most of those easy layups.

Reese is in the middle of a superb rookie season that won’t be overlooked because of these missed routine layups. She was named to the All-Star Game in her first rookie year and has the Sky in the playoff hunt.

    Social media went off:

Angel Reese & Sky Are The No. 8 Seed Coming Out Of Olympic Break

The Sky currently occupy the final playoff spot and No. 8 seed with a 10-14 record. They are tied with Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever (11-15) for the No. 7 seed and also just 2.5 games behind the Phoenix Mercury for the sixth seed.

Chicago has some breathing room on the ninth-seeded Atlanta Dream, who are 7-17 and three games out of the final playoff spot. So barring a collapse, Angel Reese and the Sky will be in the eight-team playoff tournament to decide the WNBA champions.

Reese and Chicago return to action on Thursday with a home tilt against Phoenix.

2006 NBA champion Jason Williams, popularly known as White Chocolate, recently created a social media buzz with his basketball skills at the age of 48. Oklahoma City Thunder standout Chet Holmgren is among the NBA community reacting to the former Miami Heat guard’s skills.

In his 12-year NBA career, Jason Williams played for several teams, including the Sacramento Kings, the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Orlando Magic. He was known for his incredible passing skills and street ball-influenced playing style.

In a video that circulated on social media, the 48-year-old wowed onlookers with his behind-the-back dimes, bounce passes, and other creative skills. The video, shared by Hoop Central, garnered the attention of several fans, and Chet Holmgren gave a one-word response about Williams’ skills. Holmgren tweeted, “Art.”

While the Thunder standout reacted to Jason Williams’ recent video, fans love Holmgren’s offseason training videos. This week, the 22-year-old star was spotted training with Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young, Moses Moody, and Moses Brown. The second overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft impressed the fans with his three-point shooting and hooping abilities.

Sophie Cunningham has maintained a relatively private approach to her romantic life despite being a public figure.

Born in Columbia, Missouri, the 28-year-old Cunningham has become one of the faces of the WNBA.

The 2019 second-round WNBA draft pick really gained a ton of followers throughout the 2024 season as she became a regular to go viral with her outfits.

In August 2024, she made her biggest splash when she arrived for a game in a water color-esque, off-the-shoulder dress with a thigh-high slit.

The dress also featured two abdomen cutouts, showing off her bikini tan lines. She paired the orange and teal mini-dress with various accessories.

Not everybody was a fan of what Sophie Cunningham wore that night, but she certainly made tremendous waves.

Despite being insanely talented on the court and gorgeous at the same time, Cunningham has not been in a serious relationship recently.

Just recently, Sophie Cunningham held a Q&A with her Instagram followers when one follower asked why she wasn’t married yet.

Cunningham had fun with it as she shared a video of her chugging a drink alongside her response.

“I’ve received this question A LOT,” Cunningham replied. “I think it’s cause I’m a rat and an embarrassment to society. Also, this was all ice and doesn’t do my skill any justice. But back to being not married, it’ll happen hopefully before I die CAUSE WON’T HE DO IT.”

Former Phoenix Mercury Sophie Cunningham talked to reporters on Tuesday for the first time as a member of the Indiana Fever.

She was traded back in February.

The Indiana Fever acquired the guard and the No. 19 selection in the 2025 WNBA Draft from the Phoenix Mercury.

The Fever also received Jaelyn Brown from the Dallas Wings, with the two teams also swapping Third Round picks in the 2027 WNBA Draft. In exchange, the Wings receive forward NaLyssa Smith and the Connecticut Sun receive the No. 8 selection in the 2025 WNBA Draft from Indiana.

Cunningham is now playing for another team after spending six years with the Mercury.

She has played in 182 games in her career and shot 42.2% from the field and 36.2% from beyond the arc.

VIDEO: Some Dude Just Dropped The Cold Hard Truth On Why All Of These NFL Prospects Are “Dating White Women”

    Caleb Williams at NFL Draft

Unless this is your first day in America, then you know race relations in this country dominate just everything, and that includes NBA and NFL drafts

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.

The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.

Kate Martin and girlfriend Claire Gransee's new photo sends WNBA fans into a frenzy | Marca
Golden State Valkyries player Kate Martin and her girlfriend, Claire Gransee, were trending on social media earlier this week.

Martin confirmed her relationship with Gransee during the 2024 WNBA season. She replied to a TikTok video that included this message: “I can’t even be upset if that’s Kate Martin’s girlfriend because she is literally gorgeous stunning beautiful perfect.” The former Iowa star replied, “She is gorgeous, stunning & perfect, I can’t lie.”

Although it’s been a while since Martin posted anything on social media about Gransee, she gave her girlfriend a birthday shoutout on Instagram this Friday.

“Taking a break from sponsored posts to wish my fav person a happy birthday! 23 looks good on you,” Martin wrote for her caption. “Happy birthday.”

Gransee replied, “I love you!! the most.”

This isn’t the first time that Gransee has gone viral on social media. Well before her relationship with Martin went public, she left her Instagram followers speechless over a swimsuit photo.

Gransee, who has over 28,000 Instagram followers, wore a pink bikini while on vacation in Hawaii.

Unsurprisingly, countless people complimented Gransee’s appearance.

Martin is gearing up for her first season in Golden State. She averaged 2.6 points per game with the Las Vegas Aces.

“It’s a pretty cool opportunity. I feel really grateful to be a part of it. It’s a part of history, a new WNBA team,” Martin said. “They haven’t had an expansion draft in a really long time. It’s something super cool to be a part of, and I feel really grateful that they chose me. It’s just going to be a lot of fun. Obviously they’re going to be aggressive, and we’re going to have more people added. That makes it really fun, seeing the roster come together and what it’s going to be, how training camp is going to look.”

We’ll see if Gransee attends Martin’s games next season.

Caitlin Clark's New Reality | The New Yorker

The 2025 women’s NCAA Tournament will end on Sunday when UConn and South Carolina meet in the National Championship Game.

South Carolina beat Texas and UConn beat UCLA in the Final Four on Friday, setting up a star-studded showdown on Sunday.

Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi have been doing live telecasts throughout the Final Four on “The Bird & Taurasi Show” and will do another one on Sunday for the title game. Bird and Taurasi will have some guests on, including WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark.

They’re super excited to have her on, with Taurasi calling her “amazing” on Friday night.

“She’s not a college kid anymore,” Taurasi said. “Caitlin has grown. Boy, Caitlin is amazing.”

    Take a look:

Clark is one of the best players in the WNBA and won WNBA Rookie of the Year after helping the Indiana Fever make the playoffs. She finished the season averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game.

Clark was selected first overall by the Fever in the 2024 WNBA Draft after her electric collegiate career at Iowa. She helped Iowa get to the 2024 National Championship Game before losing to South Carolina.

She also helped Iowa get to the title game in 2023 before losing to Angel Reese and LSU. Clark played in 139 games during her four seasons at Iowa, averaging 28.4 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists per game.

She will get to give her thoughts during Sunday’s game between the two top teams in the country and discuss how she is prepping for her second WNBA season. She’ll try to win her first WNBA MVP and lead the Fever to the WNBA Playoffs for a second consecutive season.

Tip-off for Sunday’s National Championship Game between UConn and South Carolina will be at 3 p.m. ET.

Caitlin Clark Finally Speaks On Paige Bueckers What She Just Said Is Taking The Internet By Storm

Paige Bueckers gets honest about her issue with Caitlin Clark and how much attention she gets | Marca

Caitlin Clark has made her opinion on Paige Bueckers very clear.

The Iowa Hawkeyes legend joined Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi’s telecast during the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament national championship game on Sunday afternoon. UConn took down South Carolina, 82-59, in Tampa, Florida on Sunday. Bueckers, who was in the same recruiting class as Clark, finished her career with a national championship.

Bueckers is now off to the WNBA, where she’s expected to be a top pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft. But how will Bueckers fare in the WNBA moving forward?

Clark, the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, made her opinion on the matter very clear.

Clark said that she believes that Bueckers’ “poise” will help her immediately in the WNBA.

Bueckers had 17 points, six rebounds and three assists in the blowout win over South Carolina. She’s the frontrunner to go No. 1 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft next week.

“I think her poise. That’s something you need coming into the W,” Clark said. “It all hits you so fast. You’re moving to a new city, you’re trying to understand your teammates, while you’re trying to live up to all these expectations. And I think that’s one of the greatest things about her game is just her poise and her maturity, and nothing ever seems to faze her. And she’s just always the same constant leader.”

Bueckers has been through a lot so far in her career. She missed serious time with a torn ACL injury but managed to come back and finish her college basketball career with a national championship.

Clark thinks she’ll thrive in the WNBA.

“She can score on all three levels, and she finishes well around the rim. Her mid-range game is some of the best I’ve honestly ever seen,” Clark said. “And, you know, obviously she can score from the 3-point line, too.

“So I think all that — you can play point guard, but you can also play off the ball. I think that’ll be an interesting dynamic with [Dallas Wings guard] Arike [Ogunbowale], obviously, we all know she’s going No. 1. So it’ll be interesting to see how they kind of put those two pieces together and how that’ll work.”

Transitioning from college basketball to the professional court is never easy, and Caitlin Clark knows this better than anyone. The Indiana Fever star endured difficult weeks upon arrival in the WNBA, and no one made the adjustment harsher than her idol, Diana Taurasi.

Clark arrived at the “W” after a stellar career with the Iowa Hawkeyes in the NCAA. The Indiana Fever made Clark the first overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, but this earned her the enmity of some veteran players, who quickly let the rookie know she was treading on their turf.

Despite all the obstacles, Clark had a historic season, earning the Rookie of the Year honors and the respect of her peers. However, the Fever’s star guard still hasn’t forgotten her first encounter with Taurasi and the veteran’s rude welcome.

The clash between Clark and Taurasi

In an interview for the Netflix show “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman,” Clark recalled her early days in the WNBA, saying one had really talked trash to her until she ran into Taurasi at a game on June 30.

“No one really talks trash to me, honestly. I see to it, maybe that’ll happen next year,” Clark asserted. However, she did throw the Phoenix Mercury guard under the bus, saying, “Somebody that did trash talk was Diana Taurasi, but all in good fun. We were playing them at home, and she fouled me, pretty hard.”

After the foul, Clark complained to the referee that the hit had been “intentional,” while Taurasi clapped her back challenging her to “do it again.” Despite everything, the Fever won that game 88-82, with 15 points, nine rebounds, and 12 assists from Clark.

There’s no bad blood between Caitlin and Diana

After the tough in-game exchange, Clark and Taurasi hugged, expressing their admiration for each other. Furthermore, Caitlin was recently a guest on Diana’s podcast, “The Bird & Taurasi Show,” where the two women smoothed things over, and the Rookie of the Year congratulated the GOAT on her recent retirement.

Entering her second year as a professional, Clark must prove that her accomplishments in 2024 were no fluke. Taking the Fever to the postseason will no longer be enough, as the media and fans will expect more than individual accomplishments from the rising star, and a deep playoff run is the least they expect from her now.

Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy has called out folks claiming Caitlin Clark’s popularity is primarily due to her skin color following the culmination of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies are the new champions after a dominant performance over former champions, the South Carolina Gamecocks.

But not all women’s finals are created equal. Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes played South Carolina in last year’s National Championship game, and 18.9 people tuned in. Bueckers played the same opponent in 2025, attracting 8.5 million viewers.

It’s why Portnoy is demanding an explanation, having pointed out that both women are white.

The outspoken Barstool Sports president is calling on people to “explain why 10 million more people watched her last year than Paige Bueckers(also white) this year.”

Known for her incredible long-distance shooting, the Indiana Fever guard is looking to add extra layers to her game ahead of year 2. She has revealed that she’s working on increasing her strength and is putting in extra work in the weight room while also implementing additional skills, such as floaters.

The former Iowa superstar, who left college as the highest scorer in NCAA history (both men’s and women’s), is excited about next season, with the Fever having made some notable additions such as six-time All-Star DeWanna Bonner and three-time WNBA champion Natasha Howard.

Black Boy Helps Caitlin Clark with Flat Tire, The Next Day, a Black SUV Showed Up at His House!

It was a scorching afternoon on a quiet rural road when basketball star Caitlin Clark found herself stranded with a flat tire. With no traffic and no cell service, she stood by her car, contemplating her next move. Just as frustration began to set in, a young boy, no older than 14, appeared on the horizon, carrying a small toolkit.

The boy, Jaylen Hayes, greeted her with a cheerful, “Flat tire, huh?” Caitlin nodded, impressed by his confidence. Jaylen quickly got to work, refusing any offer of payment despite recognizing Caitlin as the celebrated athlete. “You needed help, so I helped,” he said with a grin before walking back down the road, leaving Caitlin deeply moved by his selflessness.

The encounter lingered in Caitlin’s mind, and the next day, she returned to find Jaylen and his family. When she arrived at their modest home in her black SUV, she brought not just gratitude but an extraordinary gesture of kindness. Caitlin offered to help the family with much-needed home repairs and improvements, saying it was her way of giving back for Jaylen’s act of generosity.

Over the next few weeks, Caitlin coordinated repairs, enlisted volunteers, and even brought supplies herself. Jaylen watched in awe as his home transformed—leaky pipes fixed, a new roof installed, and even a basketball hoop set up in the driveway. The project wasn’t just about the house; it was about restoring hope and providing opportunities.

Caitlin also took Jaylen under her wing, mentoring him in basketball and life. She arranged for him to attend a sports camp, introduced him to local coaches, and even set up a scholarship fund for his future. Jaylen, in turn, embraced the lessons, not just improving his game but also volunteering at local youth centers to inspire others.

Years later, Jaylen’s journey from helping a stranger on a roadside to becoming a rising basketball star captivated many. At a community event, he reflected on the moment that changed his life. “It started with a flat tire,” he said, “but it taught me that kindness and hard work can take you anywhere.”

Caitlin watched proudly from the audience, knowing that a simple act of help had set off a ripple effect that would impact countless lives. Together, they proved that even small gestures can spark incredible transformations.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce gave pop superstar Taylor Swift plenty to cheer about Saturday.

With his girlfriend watching alongside WNBA star Caitlin Clark from a suite, Kelce caught seven passes for 117 yards and a touchdown — setting a whole bunch of records in the process — and helped Kansas City roll to a 23-14 victory over the Houston Texans that earned it a spot in the AFC championship game for the seventh straight season.

“I feel like if you’re going to step out here on the football field, you’ve always got something to prove,” said Kelce, who had a pedestrian regular season by his standards but always seems to elevate his game in the postseason.

“I wish it was something like it was just a flip of the switch and I could just turn it on like that,” he added. “But I think it was everybody in that building, all week long, all, really, the past two to three weeks figuring out how to get our bodies the best rest and ready for the playoffs for a run like this. And, man, we came out firing on all cylinders today. That felt really good.”

He certainly had Swift and Clark cheering throughout the game. Clark, a longtime Chiefs fan, wore a parka in Kansas City red.

Swift arrived much earlier than usual — about two hours before kickoff on a cold, blustery day — and was dressed nearly head to toe in Chanel, including a black-and-white tweed jacket, a quarter-zip romper, a pearl strand belt and pendant earrings.

She began her high-profile romance with Kelce last season, when he invited the “Anti-Hero” singer to watch him in a September matchup with the Bears. Since then, the two have spent plenty of time together, with cameras following them all over the globe.

She has been spending more time in Kansas City lately, though, after wrapping up her record-setting Eras Tour last month.

The Chiefs had a first-round bye in the playoffs after going 15-2 in the regular season and earning the No. 1 seed. With the win over the Texans, and a matchup with the Bills or Ravens on deck next weekend, they moved one step closer to becoming the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Swift was on hand for the most recent one in Las Vegas, of course, flying back from a concert in Tokyo to watch the Chiefs beat the 49ers last February. And there’s a good chance she’ll be following the Chiefs to New Orleans should they make it again.

“Right now, this one was great. We’re going to enjoy this one tonight,” Kelce said. “But the task at hand is going to be that AFC championship. You don’t you don’t get a three-peat by looking past that.”

Kelce had his 14th straight playoff game with at least 70 yards receiving and his 15th in a row with at least five catches, both NFL records. He also extended his own playoff record for receptions to 172, and he broke a tie with Jerry Rice for the most playoff games with at least 100 yards receiving with the ninth of his 12-year career.

Kelce might soon break two more records. He needs 226 yards to break Rice’s postseason record of 2,245, and he needs three more touchdown receptions to break the Hall of Fame wide receiver’s record of 22.

“It’s playoff Trav. He’s a leader, man,” said Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who improved to 7-0 in the divisional round of the playoffs. “This is what he lives for is playing in these moments, having the chance to make big-time plays.”

After weeks of public silence, Kate Martin has finally spoken out in support of her longtime teammate Caitlin Clark, who has been facing growing criticism within the WNBA. Martin, who played alongside Clark at Iowa and now shares the court with her in the pros, delivered a passionate message that struck a chord across the basketball world. In a bold and heartfelt statement, she demanded respect for the new wave of talent entering the league and stood firmly by Clark, who has been at the center of debates surrounding media attention and perceived favoritism.

Martin’s words carried immense weight as she addressed the backlash Clark has faced since entering the WNBA. The criticisms—ranging from accusations of special treatment to veiled resentment over her popularity—have clouded Clark’s achievements. Yet, Martin didn’t hold back, expressing that she was “not sorry” for the success she and her teammate are experiencing. Her statement not only defended Clark but also highlighted the progress the league is undergoing, urging people to see it as growth rather than privilege.

The impact Caitlin Clark has had on women’s basketball is undeniable. She’s shattered records, packed arenas, and brought a new level of attention to the sport—both in terms of media coverage and commercial success. Yet, her rapid rise has come with resistance. Martin called out this contradiction, emphasizing that Clark’s visibility is well-earned, not handed. Her achievements, according to Martin, should be celebrated, not scrutinized. “She’s worked hard,” Martin declared, “and I’m proud to share this journey with her.”

Martin’s message extended beyond defending one player—it was a broader appeal for unity and evolution in women’s sports. She acknowledged the trailblazers who came before but urged the community to stop attacking those now bringing fresh eyes to the league. Comparing the situation to progress in other sports, she highlighted how growth doesn’t require apologies, only acknowledgment and appreciation for both the past and the present. She challenged the idea that current players must downplay their success out of guilt or fear of backlash.

Ultimately, Martin’s powerful statement wasn’t just about standing up for Clark—it was a declaration of resilience, solidarity, and the importance of embracing change. Her voice amplified a conversation that has long needed nuance and honesty. “We’re here because of the women who paved the way,” she said, “but we’re also here because we earned it.” Her words served as a reminder that the future of the WNBA is bright—and it’s time to support the women shaping it, not tear them down.
