Sports Illustrated announced Tuesday that TCU women’s basketball star Hailey Van Lith is the SI Swimsuit digital cover star for the month of April, and fans couldn’t be happier.

Van Lith is fresh off another dominant run through the NCAA Tournament.

Lith was chosen as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s April 2025 Digital Cover Model and looked completely stunning.

SI Swimsuit announced her cover on Tuesday morning, posting a video on social media showing the basketball superstar wearing various swimsuit looks.

In the shoot, Van Lith wears a black one-piece, a two-piece cow-print bikini, a brown sparkle bikini, and a black bikini with white trim.

Huge day for TCU superfan Meek Phil and any other women’s college basketball fans. Hailey Van Lith comes off the NCAA tournament and while she didn’t get to capture that elusive national championship her final year at TCU, an Olympic medal in Paris and an increased draft stock ahead of the WNBA draft next Monday, my guess is she’ll be just fine. Never met her friend’s husband?

That’s definitely different…

Of course, Dolly Parton and Reba have been friends for decades, and a few years ago, they recorded a song for the very first time together as a new rendition of Reba’s 1993 duet with Linda Davis, “Does He Love You.”

It’s well known that Dolly only communicates via fax, which Reba and even Dolly’s goddaughter Miley Cyrus have talked about before, but apparently she’s even more private than we thought.

Reba has been out doing tons of press for her new sitcom Happy’s Place, and during an interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live show, Andy of course wanted to get the details about how good Dolly’s cooking really is (she just released a new cookbook with her sister Rachel, and has a baking line with Duncan Hines), but Reba couldn’t tell him much.

Apparently, Reba has never been to Dolly’s house or tried her food, and told him she’s never even been invited over. She also said she’s never met Dolly’s longtime husband Carl Dean, which Andy joked:

“But people really do swear he exists.”

Dolly is famously private when it comes to Carl, who has rarely ever been seen in photographs, let alone at any public events (he went to one and hated it). This year, they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary, and Dolly talks a lot about him in interviews, but we just don’t ever see them.

Well, we saw the back of his head in the video where she recreated her iconic 1978 Playboy cover for him for his birthday, but I digress…

Honestly, when you’re as famous as Dolly is with a spouse who isn’t interested in being in the public eye, it’s understandable that they keep their marriage private, but I’ve always found it strange that we don’t even really know what he looks like.

It’s even more odd that her own friends haven’t met him, but to each their own… the ever-humble Reba also joked that she was surprised that Andy hadn’t met him or been to Dolly’s house because he’s “famous”:

“I saw something they were out camping, she and Carl went back to where they got married. Absolutely, well I feel better that you haven’t met him now. You’re famous.”

He obviously told her she was extremely famous herself, calling her the “queen of country,” and Reba replied:

“In my own mind.”

Reba’s always so funny and engaging, I think she’d make a great dinner guest if Dolly wants to finally make her some biscuits or chicken and dumplings…

Entertainment Tonight

Reba McEntire, Melissa Peterman, and Steve Howey are basically family after playing a dysfunctional family group on TV for years during Reba.

And guess what? Everyone’s favorite red-headed country star is getting back into the sitcom game with a new show called Happy’s Place, which premieres on NBC tonight. Reba’s new project will be different than her beloved show from the 2000’s (in which she played a fictitious version of herself), but it will share some similarities.

In case you didn’t know, there’s going to be a little bit of a family reunion on McEntire’s new show. Former Reba co-stars Melissa Peterman, who played “Barbra Jean,” and Steve Howey, who played Reba’s son-in-law “Van Montgomery,” will be featured in the cast of Happy’s Place. In my humble opinion, seeing those three together again will make tuning in worthwhile.

Entertainment Tonight actually caught up with the trio of former Reba co-stars on the set of the new NBC show, and one of the questions they asked ended up warranting some funny responses from McEntire and Peterman. ET brought up Steve Howey starring on the hit show Shameless, and whether or not Reba and Melissa kept up with it.

Reba hilariously answered:

“No… I’ll never forget Melissa and I coming to work. (Melissa asking) ‘Did you see Steve last night?’ (Me responding) ‘Yes I did.’ Oh my gosh.”

If you’re not familiar, Shameless is a popular Showtime show centered around the poor and dysfunctional Gallagher family who lives on the Southside of Chicago. Howey plays “Kev” Ball, who goes full frontal in the very first episode, and a number of times more than that throughout the series. So if you’re Reba tuning into your friend’s show for the first time for Episode 1, and you get a big ol’ shot of Kev’s manhood, it’s quite the shock. Melissa Peterman said that Howey should have given them a warning about them:

“I said, ‘You need to warn us if there’s gonna be some unclothing happening in ‘Shameless.’ Because you’re like our brother. It was too much. But then I did watch it later, after I washed my eyes out. Because you’re so good on it.” 

Steve admitted that he had to up his workout regime while he was on Shameless, just because the character and the script called for so many shirt-off scenes:

“Well, you know, that’s why I started working out. Because I was naked all the time.”

When Entertainment Tonight followed up and asked Howey if that trend would continue on Happy’s Place, Melissa Peterman butted in and answered the question for him:

“We’re gonna give America what it wants. Steve is going to take his shirt off at some point.”

 

American Idol

Carrie, is that you??

Ms. Carrie Underwood has been all over lately—from her Opry 100 Randy Travis tribute, to singing a cappella at the inauguration, to judging the new season of American Idol. But from the video that she posted on her socials yesterday… folks aren’t exactly talking about her vocals.

In the video, Carrie channels her early 2000s “Before He Cheats” sass and reenacts the moment from the chorus. You know the one – digging her key into the side of someone’s souped up four wheel drive. As she’s doing just that:

 

But this time around she looked much different than what we picture when we hear that song. She’s rocking a bedazzled cream jacket, big earrings, and clear framed glasses that could be throwing off her signature look. She for sure is camera-ready, probably on set for something for American Idol, but the internet wasted no time pointing it out.

The very top comment is “Anyone else feel like she’s unrecognizable??” with a whole 4,669 likes

There’s lots more saying the same thing:

“She looks different”

“What’s with the unnecessary plastic surgery?”

“I don’t know what happen to the sweet Carrie we fell in love with”

“Ummm who is this? I don’t recognize her at all”

“You don’t look the same, too much plastic surgery”

“Getting more plastic surgery?”

Some fans didn’t recognize her, and there were lots of the plastic surgery allegations. Of course, a few rushed to her defense reminding everyone that Carrie had a serious facial injury in 2017, where she fell on her porch and had to get over 40 stitches. But that was 8 years ago…

She’s also wearing safety glasses…

I mean, I didn’t know people could be so rude to Carrie, but that wasn’t the extent of it. The other half of the comments were about how terrible of timing it was for her to be vandalizing a car. There has been quite the group of crazies setting fire to dealerships, keying electric cars in public parking lots, and even planting explosives in protest of Elon Musk and his work with DOGE in the Donald Trump administration.

So when Carrie dropped a video where she is keying a red truck, people had a lot more to say about her looks and the political climate, than her old song or the television show that it was for.

This isn’t even the first time she’s getting comments on her different appearance:

She hasn’t responded to any of the comments or tweets yet, and probably never will, but it’s time the internet probably lets it go, eh? It’s safe to say the whole thing was filmed months ago, well before the Tesla chaos even blew up.

And as for her looks, I also think that maybe this has been more of Carrie Underwood than we are used to seeing since her old American Idol days. It’s like people forget that she has been a country music superstar for nearly two decades- and yes, people age, change their style, and experiment with their looks. Heaven forbid she wears glasses and a full face of makeup to be on national television.

When she changes her voice, that’s when I’ll have a problem, but I don’t think we’ll have to worry about that…

LIVE with Kelly and Mark

You have to have at least one nice judge, though, right?

The new season of American Idol premiers this Sunday, March 9th on ABC, and Carrie Underwood is back on the show in a completely new capacity, as a judge, 20 years after winning the show in 2005 and having a very successful career in country music. She will join returning judges Lionel Richie and her fellow country music star Luke Bryan, and they seem like a trio with great chemistry already from the clips and interviews I’ve seen.

Fans seem excited that she make a homecoming of sorts too, and during an appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Mark yesterday morning, Lionel revealed that Carrie is having a hard time saying “no” to some of the contestants at the auditions (which are the best part to watch, in my humble opinion), and pretty much had to grit her teeth saying it to the first few they turned down.

He says they started off strong with a lot of “yes” and people going to Hollywood, but it was obviously only a matter of time until they were going to have to start turning people down:

“I have to tell you, Carrie’s biggest nightmare was, as long as you can say, ‘Oh my God, you go through! Oh my God, you go through! Fantastic! Oh, you go through!’ We were waiting, because she’s gotta tell someone ‘No.’ and she almost had a nervous breakdown.

I’m telling you, she said, ‘Oh, he’s so cute.’ I said, ‘Carrie, do what you have to do.’ ‘She’s so nice.’ ‘Carrie, do what you have to do.’ And then finally she said, ‘I’m gonna have to tell you…. no. Not right now. Not now.’”

Carrie joked that she would try to soften the blow saying they should “come back,” and that it’s just a no “right now”:

“Not right now, you come back!” 

Like I said, somebody has to let them down easy, and I can totally sympathize with her struggle to let these young singers down (even if they are bad). Many of them probably watched her on Idol and look up to her as a very successful artist now, so that only makes it more difficult to say no, I would imagine.

The only thing that would make it harder would be if you had to say no to someone who sang your song, and while I’m sure we’ll see some bad covers, Idol shared a preview of one contestants audition who delivered a beautiful rendition of “Jesus Take The Wheel,” and Carrie actually cried during Brianna Nix’s audition.

It’s unclear yet whether or not she got a ticket to Hollywood, but based on Carrie’s reaction alone, I would bet that’s likely what happened…

I think Carrie will make a great addition to the judging panel, and clearly brings not only experience in the music industry, but also from the show specifically, that will be invaluable for the contestants. I’ll be honest, though, I do miss when Simon Cowell was just ripping people to shreds on national television. It was mean, but dang if it wasn’t entertaining TV, and you always had Paula Abdul right there to help soften the blow, so to speak, which it sounds like Carrie is already great at.

Erik Spoelstra’s ex-wife, Nikki, has broken her silence on wild rumors currently circulating social media. The former NBA dancer rebutted speculation of a romantic relationship with 24-year-old Miami Heat forward Jamie Jaquez Jr.

Spoelstra took to her online outlets to publicly flame those accusing her of supposed wrongdoing. She did her best to clear her name amid the claims.

The rumors started due to Spoelstra’s social media activity. Followers noticed her tendency to “like” and comment on photos posted to Jamie Jaquez Jr.’s Instagram account.

 

She also recently posted a Reels video alongside a caption reading, “Only dating men below 25 because they’re easier to manipulate. #WomenInMaleFields”

Fans quickly attempted to connect the dots, coming to the conclusion that the duo was involved romantically. She’s now responded with the insinuations going viral.

 

Nikki Spoelstra quieted the rumors. She doesn’t want her integrity being attacked by “trolls.” Jamie Jaquez Jr. has remained silent on the situation.

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.

The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.

This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.

 

 

One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.

He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.

He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.

The Houston Rockets are having a remarkable season in the 2024-25 NBA year. They currently hold the second spot in the Western Conference standings, a success largely attributed to the players’ dedication to the game. This was recently showcased in a viral video featuring Amen Thompson.

The Rockets recently defeated the Miami Heat at Kaseya Center 102-98. Thompson delivered a stellar performance on the court, scoring 18 points, making five assists, and grabbing nine rebounds. He remained focused and dedicated despite some distractions at courtside during the game.

When the video showcasing Bonnie Blue’s interaction with Amen Thompson went viral on social media, fans flooded the comments section with reactions. Many enthusiastically praised Thompson for maintaining his composure and ignoring Blue, while others cleverly chimed in with humorous quips.

Caitlin Clark & Paige Bueckers were violated in the worst way possible.

 

The newly drafted Indiana Fever star and UConn star found themselves trending online over the weekend after someone got ahold of some private pictures and videos and exposed them for everybody to see.

 

Caitlin Clark did not take pictures or videos of herself, but someone did sneak up on her while she was taking a shower, as she could be seen covering herself while in shock and holding a razor.

 

Paige Bueckers got it much worse than Caitlin Clark, as she was seen in significantly compromising positions with another woman in several photos and videos that showed a lot more action going on. This is incredibly disheartening for Paige Bueckers as she may not have come out to people close to her, and now she may be forced to do so because of this leak.

Supports of both would soon take to social media and purposely post uplifting things about them to drown out the real reason why they were trending, and Paige Bueckers took notice of it.

On Tuesday, the UConn Huskies star took to social media and finally broke her silence.

“The devil works hard, but God and the people around me work WAY harder. The outpouring of love and support from the WBB community is unreal. Love yall. Support women in sport ALWAYS,” she said in a short statement on social media.

It has been a pretty disturbing trend lately for young women to get violated by others, whether it’s photos being leaked or someone using artificial technology to create explicit content and share it with millions of others.
