Shaquille O’Neal explains why Stephen Curry is more influential than LeBron James.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry are the two greatest players of their generation, and while the former is regarded as the better player of the two, Shaquille O’Neal believes the latter beats him in one aspect. On the latest episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, O’Neal was asked if Curry is more influential than James.

“I think it’s part of the same,” O’Neal said. “LeBron was always there, but when Kobe was fading out, that’s when LeBron [took off]. And then you got Steph Curry [taking off]. Actually, I’mma go with Steph Curry is more influential because if you look at all f***ing basketball, it’s being played like Golden State Warriors now.”

 

It’s not completely accurate to state that every team plays like the Golden State Warriors, but Curry has helped usher in this three-point era. Teams are shooting more from beyond the arc than ever before, and that’s thanks to all the success he has had with the outside shot.

Curry certainly has been very influential, and O’Neal isn’t the only Hall of Famer who’d put him above James in that aspect. Paul Pierce went as far as to say that Curry’s influence is greater than that of LeBron, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan.

Even James once called Curry one of the two most influential players he has ever seen, with Allen Iverson being the other. He believes the two of them changed the game and became the ones whom kids wanted to watch every night.

O’Neal has developed a reputation for hating on today’s players, but he has always been very complimentary towards Curry. So much so that he demanded fans put Curry in the GOAT conversation.

“As the supreme leader of the big man alliance, I demand you fans to start putting Steph Curry in that greatest of all time conversation. Just start putting him in the conversation. There’s Mike, there’s Kobe, there’s LeBron. Start putting Steph in that conversation. I demand it.”

“I played against Mike, played with Kobe, played against and with LeBron. They’re all great. But at some point, we’re going to have to put Steph Curry in that category. I’m not saying he is, but let’s just have the conversation.”

“I like all the internet talk and the barbershop talk, but I ain’t never seen nothing like that before, and nobody has. And how many thangs he got? One, two, three, four, against LeBron. I demand that people start putting my guy in that conversation, period.”

Curry has won four titles, a Finals MVP, two MVPs, and two scoring titles in his career. O’Neal isn’t proclaiming him the greatest ever, but wants him to be in that conversation.

Curry probably would have to win another title to be thrust into that conversation. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest players ever, but his resume still isn’t as great as that of Jordan and James.

For much of the first half of this 2024-25 season, it had seemed like Curry’s chances of winning another title with the Warriors were next to none. The team was floundering but has a new lease of life now following Jimmy Butler’s arrival.

The Warriors are currently fifth in the Western Conference with a 46-31 record and have won their last five games. They are now 19-4 in their last 23 games and look set to make a lot of noise in the playoffs.

On Sunday night, the Golden State Warriors played the Houston Rockets (at home) in San Francisco.

One of the biggest reasons for their loss was the play of two-time MVP Steph Curry.

He finished with three points, two rebounds and eight assists while shooting 1/10 from the field in 33 minutes of playing time.

After the game, Jimmy Butler stuck up for his teammate.

Butler finished the loss with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block while shooting 4/7 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range in 33 minutes of playing time.

With the loss, the Warriors dropped to 46-32 in 78 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten.

That meant Van Lith was in the Elite Eight for the third consecutive season after advancing to a tournament regional final with Louisville and LSU the past two seasons.

The CEO of a financial services company has recently opened up about the whole situation and called out the late Metcalf for bullying Anthony.

The CEO, Crutchfield, who leads several financial services companies, donated $1,000 to Anthony’s defense fund. The GivingGo campaign has raised over $200,000 as more and more supporters are joining in.

“Let’s get this baby home. I have a young black son as well, and I live in Collin County. This baby was bullied and was defending himself, I know it’s more to this story. I’m praying for you and your family. Please let me know how else I can help,” Crutchfield wrote along with her donation.

One of the officers involved in the detainment of Tyreek Hill was handed a stiff punishment on the same day the Miami Dolphins wide receiver was forced to the ground and placed in handcuffs in a shocking encounter with law enforcement.

 

According to department director Stephanie V. Daniels, the officer, who is attached to the Miami-Dade Police Department, has been placed on administrative leave.

“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter,” Daniels said in a statement, per NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. “One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted.

“I’m committed to transparency and accountability to the community with any situation involving my officers.”

The wide receiver was the talk of the football world on Sunday morning after he was seen getting apprehended by several police officers just a block away from Hard Rock Stadium ahead of the Fins’ Week 1 opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Anthony remains in police custody on a $1 million bond in the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a track meet last Wednesday.

Karmelo and Metcalf were competing in the state’s University Interscholastic League’s District 11-5A championship meet at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco when an altercation between them turned deadly.

The affidavit states that the entire incident began when Metcalf told the suspect he needed to move out from under his team’s tent. Anthony was a student at Centennial High School but was reportedly sitting under Memorial High School’s tent.

A witness told police that Anthony would reach into his bag and open it while warning Metcalf, “Touch me and see what happens,” per WFAA.

After being touched, Anthony warned that if he were hit, something would happen.

Karmelo Anthony was touched again, and then the alleged stabbing went down.

Anthony allegedly took Austin Metcalf’s life.

Just three years ago, Karmelo saved a young boy from drowning.

Former New York Giants Super Bowl champion Michael Strahan hung up his cleats following the 2007 season, and it appears he might be ready to hang up regular shoes with his second career.

Since retiring in 2007, Strahan has probably become more known for what he has done off the field than anything he has done on it.

It’s a testament to how insanely talented he is.

In an interview with Town & Country released this week, the 52-year-old Strahan surprisingly revealed he might be ready to give it all up fairly soon.

In the interview, the host of Good Morning America and Fox NFL Sunday spoke on his efforts to treat his daughter Isabella’s brain cancer and how it helped him to reevaluate his priorities.

Michael Strahan made it clear he won’t be disappearing from television anytime soon, but he is planting the seeds for when it does happen.

 

“I’m not planning on retiring anytime soon. I will at some point, and I’d like to say a lot sooner than a lot of people probably think I will,” Strahan told T&C. “When I do it, it will be because I just want to have the freedom to be with (Isabella) and her sister, and her other sister and brother. Wherever they are, whatever they’re doing, I want to be there.”

His daughter Isabella was diagnosed with brain cancer in October 2023, and Strahan has already taken extended absences from “GMA” to spend time with her and other family and friends.

“I love it because I never expected to be there, after all those years playing football, football commentary, then daytime television,” Strahan said. “I love it because it’s engaging, different, and fun, and keeps me interested. I have to learn so much about so many things. I love the whole team. Everything I have done in my life has been as part of being a team. I absolutely love that.”

Michael Strahan joined “Good Morning America” in 2016 after co-hosting Disney-produced syndicated daytime talker “Live with Kelly and Michael,” since 2012.

Strahan, who played 15 seasons at defensive end for the New York Giants from 1993 to 2007, ranks fifth in NFL history with 141.5 quarterback sacks.

No One Would Fault Michael Strahan For Wanting To Spend More Time With His Family

Michael Strahan has publicly discussed the possibility of retiring from television on numerous occasions in 2024.

His daughter Isabella was diagnosed with brain cancer in October 2023, and it certainly took a toll on him.

Aside from his duties on Fox NFL Sunday, he also has a deal with ABC to host “GMA” and its “$100,000 Pyramid” game show, a contract that is reportedly worth around $20 million a year.

Should he decide to walk away from it all, no one would blame him one bit.

Social media might be down incredibly bad as Lucia from Grand Theft Auto is going insanely viral.

GTA 6’s trailer 2 officially broke a record after the upcoming second look at the game, which has continued to take forever to come out.

GTA 6 broke the record for the longest wait between a first and second trailer for a Rockstar Games title ever.

Rockstar has built a rich world of criminals, lunatics, and thieves spanning from Liberty City to San Andreas and beyond. With GTA 6 on the horizon, fans have become ecstatic after seeing a picture of Lucia.

For those unaware, she is a female criminal in the game. Grand Theft Auto states that she did her time at a prison complex in the State of Leonida in the mid-2020s for an unknown crime.

As anticipation builds for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, a picture shows Lucia stripped down to a two-piece bikini.

Fans Have Waited A Long Time For Grand Theft Auto To Release New Game

After more than a decade of waiting, Grand Theft Auto VI is supposedly finally set to come out in 2025.

Despite their hopes for a release this year fading, the community remains engaged in hopes that a second trailer will be released in early 2025 and a release date of the actual game will come out.

With each passing day, the desire for more news grows stronger.

Hopefully, 2025 will give the fans what they so desperately want.

Karmelo Anthony may have admitted to stabbing high school football star Austin Metcalf to death, but he is certainly not lacking in support.

The Texas teen had an online fundraiser started for him, and it has reached incredible levels.

The donations are continuing to pour in, with more than 5,400 people donating $200,000 as of Monday night on GiveSendGo — a fundraising platform.

The money is coming in so fast that the original goal has been changed for a second time: now, it is asking for $300,000.

The Karmelo Anthony family set up the “Help Karmelo Official Fund,” claiming a “false, unjust, and harmful” narrative is being spread about the slaying.

His original goal was $100,000, but now that things have escalated to well past $200K, the new goal has been changed to $300,000 for Karmelo.

“That money should be seized and given to the victims family,” one person said.

“This should be illegal,” a second person stated.

“The victim will hopefully sue to take it from him,” a third person added of the Karmelo Anthony family.

“Raising the goal 5 times in a row?…Checks out,” one final person stated.

Karmelo Anthony’s Lawyer Seeks Lower Bond

The legal team for Frisco murder suspect Karmelo Anthony wants him out of jail.

The only way it could happen is to seek to lower his $1 million bond.

The 17-year-old was charged with murder after the stabbing of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a track meet last week.

Anthony and his family’s lawyers released a statement on Monday.

“Karmelo and the entire Anthony family are sincerely saddened that a life was lost and offer their condolences to the family of Austin Metcalf,” read the statement.

Anthony has been holed up in the Collin County Jail since he was charged.

During the 2024 NFL season, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and “Into the Spider-Verse” actress Hailee Steinfeld got engaged. Despite being high-profile figures, they’ve kept their romance fairly private for the past year or so.

Since Steinfeld is featured in an upcoming film called “Sinners,” she has made a few public appearances in New York City this month. During this week’s press junket, she has mostly faced questions about the film. That being said, a reporter for “Extra” asked her about her relationship with Allen.

Steinfeld was asked a general question about planning her wedding. Unfortunately for her fans, she didn’t have much to say right now. That’s because she’s focused on promoting her new film.

“We are in the middle of a press tour. We got a movie coming out in 12 days? Six, something. We’re focused on that,” Steinfeld replied.

Maybe, just maybe, Steinfeld will have an update to share with the rest of the world later this year. Of course, she’s not obligated to reveal when or where she’ll get married.

As for Allen, we highly doubt he shares any wedding information either. For what it’s worth though, he did admit that he was nervous leading up to the proposal.

“I was very nervous,” Allen told Steinfeld. “I think I was most nervous about you finding out about the proposal. It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Then multiple times throughout the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be.”

Allen later gave Steinfeld a public shoutout at the NFL Honors ceremony in February, referring to her as his “rock.”

We’ll see if this power couple ties the knot before the start of the 2025 season.
